The Quality of each season

On my DVDs (which I've had since 2004) Season 1 is very colorful, cheery etc. Season 2 is very pale, depressing & dark. 3): Season 3 is the same as season 1 etc

Has anybody noticed this in the first three seasons?

I noticed Season 7 is awful. Otherwise, I enjoyed the first 3 seasons, some of the best TV I've ever seen (even the filler episodes of season 1)

Honestly, the only seasons I thought looked really low quality on DVD were Seasons 1 and 2. Both of them were very dark and grainy.

Yes if we're talking dvd-quality then 1 & 2 are the ones who are darker, grainy and just a little bit worse off than the rest of the series. 3-7 have a far better quality dvd wise (Content is a different matter though 😉)
