The Random Blonde Playing Buffy in "Soul Purpose"

That dream Angel has in "Soul Purpose" of Spike and "Buffy" having sex in Angel's bed, did anybody find it as it sort of an insult to the Buffy fans? and then using audio footage from "The Prom" like omg
 
Well yeah having SMG would have been great not only in this episode, but also The Girl in Question.

The wierd thing about SMG is that during Season 5 of BtVS she signed a contract saying that she agrees to play the part of Buffy for at least 4 more seasons, making her contract end after season 9. But then she quit after season 7 ended, and didn't do any interviews, didn't participate in any of the featurettes, and pretty much remained obstinant to everything Buffy/Angel related.

As an extention of this detatchement from the Buffyverse, she didn't so any guest spots on Angel; when I think she really should have.

ONE FINAL NOTE: This reply may come off as hostile towards SMG, but I really think shes a great actress and not a bad person or anything, I just find her behavior odd when she left the show.
 
I do not know if I understand your question, but if you want to know if see Spike and Buffy have sex is an insult to the fans of Buffy, therefore we have been insulted for the all sixth season. While, I definitely thought that "The Girl In Question" was an insult to the fans of Buffy.

Maybe she bought out of the contract in some way, or worked out a deal of some kind with Joss letting her off the hook for Season 5 while she was tied up in Australia shooting "Scooby Do 2," with the agreement that she would be available for a series of guest appearances in Season 6. Then, with no Season 6, no new spinoffs and no movies planned the Buffyverse, in fact the entire Whedonverse, was permanently shut down, so the subject was moot.

As for Sarah seemingly distancing herself from everything associated with Buffy, that was almost certainly an attempt to prove that she could play some role that didn't require martial arts training and wooden stakes (sadly, she's still trying to do that with little success) Sarah had hopes for a real film career playing a variety of parts, and she felt (I believe) that remaining Buffy in her fans' eyes wasn't the way to do that.

It didn't bug me, but it was a little strange seeing someone clearly supposed to be Buffy, and them using previous Buffy voice overs, and it...not be Buffy. Probably pretty cool for whoever that girl was though. Even if she never acted again, she can say that for one episode she got to play Buffy the Vampire Slayer (well, kinda).

As for the larger question of SMG in S5, yeah, I thought she should have been there at least once or twice, and more if it had been possible. I know she was trying to break out of the "Buffy" mold (which obviously didn't really happen), but it was just such a shame that she didn't do any Angel guest spots. Who knows though, that might change in the future. She's always spoken very highly of Joss in interviews, so I don't think there's any hostility between them, and she's said she would play Buffy again, if it was the right fit.
