Well, maybe before posting the questions regarding S8 comic and AtS S5 it would be advisable to (a) watch the tv series Angel - S5 , and (b) read the comic book BtVS S8 and not just the spoilers.

i read somewhere that he told Buffy this in season 8. plus I heard this on the Buffy boards on IMDB

And this is exactly why I suggested that you read the actual bloody comic, as well as rewatch S5 of AtS to find out that Giles refused to communicate with Angel and his team ever since they went to work for W&H. That happened right after Fred was taken by Illyria. Whatever you heard on the boards re S8 was not true.

Easy, no need to be rude. That theory has been floated around, because Giles has been pretty much excommunicated from Buffy's side for a good portion of S8. Myself and [MENTION=6758]white avenger[/MENTION] have talked about it quite a bit. I think it makes sense, but I don't think they actually specify that it happened. However, from reading S8 and watching S5 of Angel, it's one of the only explanations that makes sense.
And [MENTION=7103]Dark avenger[/MENTION] is right, Giles is the one who refuses to help Angel without discussing it with Buffy or anyone else. He makes the decision totally unilaterally. And it isn't in "Hole in the World". It happens in "Shells".
