I am now inviting nominations for the BB awards (let's call them "Buffy"s - "Oscar" being already taken 😉)

The categories for nomination this time round are -

Storyteller - best fanfic posted (or completed)in 2005
Sunnydale Art Gallery - best piece of artwork posted in 2005
L'il Pumpkin Belly - cutest member or post (mods are excluded from this category)
Xander/Anya - funniest LOL BB moment - thread or post (mods are excluded from this category)
Doyle - most missed member (banned members are excluded from this category)
Class Protector - most helpful/supportive member (mods are excluded from this category)
Faith - coolest member (mods are excluded from this category)
Giles - biggest Buffy/Angel expert,clever-clogs, know-it-all (mods are excluded from this category)
Andrew - best RPG "actor" or "actress"

Please PM your nominations to me before midnight (GMT) on Sunday 18th December. I will not accept any received after then btw.

Please nominate just one member per category and please don't nominate yourself (that's just sad and a little embarassing 😉)

I have decided that these nominations should cover the whole year, so winners of the previous quarterly awards in the same categories run in 2005 will be eligible for these.

Please include a link to the post/thread which is appropriate to your nomination for fanfic, artwork and funniest post/thread - this will be helpful to me, should I need to create a shortlist of nominees if there are too many to run a poll.

If you have any questions please post them in this thread, which I will monitor - rather than tie up valuable space in my PM inbox.

Once the nominations have closed I will post a poll for each category in this forum, which will run for a couple of weeks over the Holiday period, where members will be able to vote for their faves. When these polls close, the plan is to hold a BB awards ceremony to announce the winners, present the awards etc. There will be acceptance speeches, witty banter aplenty, champagne and cake...

I lied about the champagne and cake btw 😉
 
I have been asked why mods have been excluded from some of the awards...

This is because we're trying to make it more fun for for members-at-large...everyone knows that nerd4hire is an undisputed B/A mastermind and that Corma can be pretty funny (well, that one depends on your sense of humour 🙂) and so on...but I think being mods gives them an unfair advantage in the awards, hence them being excluded...I'd like to see some worthy winners from the non-staff members, instead of the same old modly faces 😉
 
excellent...i missed the last awards by just a few weeks, so i'm psyched about these!!
 
I hope I will not miss my first awards because I'll be away until the 3rd of January! :S

Ahhhhhhhh! The BB awards return! I can't wait to vote for one of my friends of the boards! Last years were exciting!!!!!

I don't remember much, but there where begging and butt kissing to get nominated and voted for.


I'm off to figure out who to nominate.
 
I've already nominated. I got it out the way straight away so that nobody could try to sway me to vote for them!
