Anyone else excited for this movie coming out in April?

It's a biopic based on the life of the band, The Runaways, starring Dakota Fanning as Cherie Curie and Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett.

I cannot wait!!!
 
Should be interesting, love Joan Jett.

Don't know much about the movie though. Will watch it somehow, perhaps I'll just wait for the DVD.

I think it will be awesome. I haven't seen Dakota Fanning in a starring role in a long time. hope she does good, esp with the singing parts.
 
I've been a Joan Jett fan for... a long time. I have all her CD's and all the Runaways albums on vinyl.

From what I hear, Kristen Stewart totally nails the part.

But the three other girls in the band besides Joan and Cherie get pushed into the background, which is kind of disappointing.
 
I seriously am also excited for this movie, Personally I don't mind Kristen Stewart much at all so it makes no difference to me that she was cast....I love Dakota as well, she is always great in every role she plays though its still weird to see her play a different role other than the sweet helpless little girls. So yeah totally excited for this I cannot wait till it comes on DVD.

I really like Joan Jett but yeah, K.Stewart isn't the best of actresses if you ask me so yeah I don't know. I'll probably rent it when it comes out
 
Dude, Kristen was on Jimmy Kimmel last night. First, she wore a fugly dress. Second, not only can she not act, she can't hold a conversation without sounding awkward. In the words of Bon Qui Qui: "Nuh-uh. This girl got to GO! SECURITY!"
 
Kristen Stewart drives me nuts. She acts like she's stoned almost all the time. But this movie looks like it might be really good. I love Joan Jett, so I'd like to see it. 🙂
 
It could be good. Dakota will knock it out of the park as usual, and I can handle Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett.
When I first heard she was cast in Runaways, as a comic book geek, my initial fear that Kristin Stewart was playing Nico Minoru or heaven forbid Molly Hayes filled me with fear, but Joan Jett's ok. 😀

Haha, I thought this was gonna be about the comic too. It's gonna cause all kinds of confusion if the Marvel movie goes ahead.

I don't really like or dislike Kristen Stewart. I don't like Twilight, but I didn't think she was bad in Adventureland.
 
I think Kristen Stewart will surprise a lot of people in this. I don't know if she has that much range as an actress, but "Joan Jett at 16" is just about as perfect a role for her as you could find. She has the look and the attitude down pat.
