the S7 big bad

You guys have pretty much covered every theory I have surmized. There is just so much speculation at this point I'm trying not to lean a certain way. Tuesdays need to come faster!
 
It's odd to see spoilers darkened on a spoiler thread. Oh well.

I guess the Big Bad will be the Prime or First Evil from Season Three. I've also seen a lot of episode titles but no synopses over on the spoiler sites.

I have GOT to learn more.

Hmm, it shouldn't be that hard to figure out. It's gotta do with the Hellmouth and the Council. These girl that were running for the monks are slayers in training, or so i'm told by reliable sources. Besides there casting for slayers in training so that much I'm sure of. "From Beneath you it devours" Definatly the hellmouth. That is probably also what Willow and Anya talk about. But let's get back to what the shapeshifter-thing says (dunno wether it's a shapehifter or not, that's not really relivant). It's not about good, it's not about bad, it's about power. Exactly the Council, I mean there not bad, but u can't really call them good either. And there all about one thing Power and as pointed out painfully by Buffy in "Checkpoint" they dont have power. With two slayers on the loose the can do nothing but sit back and watch, but still they are training new slayers (refered to as S-i-t's by fan's). Maybe this is because of what is about to come. I dunno, but I sure as hell know the Council has something to do with it. And in "Lessons" we see one of these S-i-t's chased by monks and somebody watches from a doorstep. This somebody is somebody we happen to know; Spike. About the Shapeshifter again in one of the upcoming episodes Dawn will be visited by Joyce and Willow by Tara. Or at least ghost (again or something like it) with their forms. Maybe this is our Shapeshifting friend again, who knows? Well, Josh does ... but hey he's a God, he knows everything!!!
 
I seriously doubt that this 'shapeshifting thing' is corporeal. Yet.

COuld the council be behind the slayings? Definately! Good possibility, as we know the council isn't all roses and daisy's. Especially when we reflect on the black ops team the council maintained 'specialized in wetwork'.

Good speculations on Dawn! Yes she might turn out to be something unique indeed. Remember her cutting her won wrists to see if she would bleed? Well, i wonder truly if she would have died. It's possible that the little dawn we all feel protective of is not truly so easy to kill. In fact, i am sure of it. You don't kill The Key by jamming it with a metal implement. At best you could destroy the Monk's spell that causes her to appear human. No one actually said she was transformed into a human, we know it's all an illusion. However, that illusion is able to stake vampires, so it definately can affect the real world. BUt the question is: can the real world effect her other than making her think she's wounded?

Dawn may very well be the hardest person to kill in the Scooby Gang.
 
Hmm ... good point. But she can bleed and be paralyzed, so she not invonurable (did I spell it good?). But I don't recall her being hurt very bad. But then again that didn't even happen to all the Scoobies, now did it? (Notice me NOT calling Dawn a Scoobie, lol)
 
It has been said repeatedly that the Big Bad this season is the "shapeshifting" demon that will depict everyone's worst fears. I think I know who the demon will depict. It will depict one of the most feared faces in the universe. It will depict.... Al Gore with his mock beard. Okay, so it may not be Al Gore, but I do have some theories.

I would think that each member of the scooby gang fears someone or something right? Even Buffy has her fears. I would think that Buffy & Dawn would fear Joyce. Wouldn't it spook you if your dead mother appeared right before you with your sword at her throat? Would you still be compelled to kill then? With Willow, it might be Tara. Xander may see Anya. The Anya that still adored him, pre-wedding status. I'm not saying that the demon will tranform into these people one after another, but all at the same time. I'm saying that while Buffy & Dawn will see Joyce, Willow would see Tara, Xander would see Anya, heck if Giles were there, he would probably see Ms. Calendar. That way, they would all stop trying to fight the demon and just stand there idly. Where's Spike you ask? I might think that he's off still hallucinating and having his problems, but he's there in the same place as the Scooby gang. He might even be the one to save the day after getting fed up with his problems and finally putting it to rest. But these are just my thoughts.
 
What's wrong with Al Gore, he's better than George W. Bush (it's probably best to not display my opinion on him)!

Hmm so Spike will save the day this time? Well it used to always be Buffy, but since it was Xander last Season, heck maybe Spike will save the day.
but what about Faith then?
