After the portal opens in "The Gift" one of the creatures we see come out of it is a dragon. In NFA there is also a dragon. Has anyone consisdered that it's the same dragon? Just throwing it out there.

Anyone else wonder how they got rid of all those creepy-crawlies (and the dragon) after "The Gift"? It didn't look like the portal sucked them back in. . . .

I've heard that theory about the dragon before. It's possible, I guess, but where was it hiding for the time in between the two episodes? More likely, Buffy's dragon and whatever else managed to get through the portal weren't able to survive in our dimension for some reason or other, maybe direct sunlight, since the final action in "the Gift" took place just before sunrise. It would also fit in with "Not Fade Away," since that dragon, as well as whatever else of W&H's army survived, wouldn't have ever had to contend with our sun. In fact, that might have been the real reason that the Senior Partners wanted LA sent to hell. To protect their troops.

Well, there is the theory that the failsafe in You're Welcom was the dragon. I don't know how much that stands up to scrutiny though.
