Okay, I'm sorry if it's been done before. And if so, feel free to do whatever you want with this thread!

You need to pick which season is the most in different categories.

1. Which season is the most classic Buffy?
2. Which season is the funniest?
3. Which season is the saddest?
4. scarriest?

6. Most romantic?

1. Which season is the most classic Buffy?
This is a hard question for me. How do you define classic Buffy? I guess this is where I stick my opinion in  Okay so with that being said I gotta go with season 2. I loved the Buffy gang as teenagers and you all know I am a Bangel so there you have it.

2. Which season is the funniest?
Easily the funniest season for me would be

3. Which season is the saddest?
Saddest in regards to storyline has to be season 6 for me. The death of Joyce and Buffy dealing with being back from the dead was terrible. The inner turmoil is intense. As far as saddest for me just because I am a drama queen would have to be season 2. Evil Angel is no bueno and of course the ending of that season killed me.

4. Scariest?
Season 5 was the scariest for me because Glory was this force that could not be defeated. It was amazing to me what she could do and we are certainly lucky that most of the scoobies were able to survive it. And of course, Buffy dying for real for real made it awful!

5. Lamest?
Season 4 has to be the lamest for me. I hate Parker, I hate Riley, I hate Adam however, the one highlight for me is the Halloween episode and the Dream episode. Aside from that this season is a big old dud!

6. Most romantic?
Being the Bangel I am season 2 is the most romantic season not only because of Bangel but also the Oz/Willow relationship, Cordy and Xander and of course, Jenny and Giles. Love gained and love lost. Totally romantic.

7. Hardest to watch?
Season 4 was the hardest to watch for me because it was soooooooooooooooooo lame. Hated it!

8. Best acting?
This is hard. The best acting for me had to be in season 6. You saw so many dimensions from each of the characters you could not help but to be sucked in.

9. Best lines?
I cannot pick a single season for this one. I think that some of the best lines came from seasons 2, 3, 5, and 6 and I try to implement them into everyday life as often as possible.

10. Disappointing?
Season 7 was extremely disappointing to me. The story line was confusing at times and overly convenient at times. Not a fan. Since it was the last season I wish it could have been more than what it was.

11. Not Buffy without?
Season 3. Good bye childhood, hello adulthood.

12. Has the best storyline?
My favorite storyline from season to season would have to be season 6. There was so much going on and I love how it all comes together.

13. Most well written?
Season 6 yet again. The musical episode is the biggest reason for this but again, I loved the storyline and the dialogue amongst the characters.

And of course:
14. Which is the best season?
The Bangel in me has to go with season 2 hands down. Yes I live in the past and I am comfortable with that.

15. And worst season?
Season 4 will forever be the biggest pile of poo ever!

I'd have to say season 2. The gang in high school, the Buffy/Angel relationship, et cetera.

2. Which season is the funniest?
I'd have to say season 4. It was chock full of funny standalones.

3. Which season is the saddest?
Do I even have to say? Season 6! It was so dark and depressing, but in the best ways possible.

4. Scariest?
Get back to me on this one...

5. Lamest?
Season 1. It was so cheesy and dated.

6. Most romantic?
Season 5. Xanya and Tillow were both at their peaks. But if we're talking about the most conventionally romantic season, season 2, what with the plot revolving around the melodramatic Buffy/Angel relationship.

7. Hardest to watch?
Again, season 1 for the same reasons.

8. Best acting?
I'm gonna go with season 6. Everyone really impressed me in this season.

9. Best lines?
I can't choose! Seasons 2, 3, 5, and 6 all had some great lines.

10. Disappointing?
Season 7. At first, I was watching it and thought, "Huh, this isn't so bad! Why does everyone complain about it?" Then, the Potentials came in.

11. Not Buffy without?
Season 2. Like I said before, even though it's not my favorite, it's classic Buffy.

12. Has the best storyline?
Either 2, 3, or 6. Angelus and The Mayor were such great Big Bads, and season 6 just had so much going on and I loved it. Oh, and season 5 was really great too. Argh, I can't choose!

13. Most well written?
Again, 2, 3, or 6. I could never choose.

And of course:
14. Which is the best season?
2, 3, or 6. I'm an indecisive person, okay?!

15. And worst season?
Season 1. It was nothing like the other seasons, and not in a good way like season 6 was.

season five, joyce dies and buffy sacrifices herself to save the world

season four, not serious enough

season six, it was so depressing

tie between season two and season three
10. Disappointing?
season seven, it started off great, but it messed up the first evil storyline

season two with Angelus

season two and season three

season seven, i had such high expectations and i was let down!
 
1. Which season is the most classic Buffy? Season 2 4 SURE. It was just so... Buffy. I personally love other season more, but still, when I think of Buffy I think of Buffy and Angel's relationship, vampires, and Buffy's look in S2. This season had all 3 of those. 🙂
2. Which season is the funniest?
Season 4, ftw. Mainly because the problems really weren't all that large... Example: Humor > Grief (in this season. However, S7 had Andrew. 🙂
3. Which season is the saddest?
Season 6 bar none. I don't think I have to explain myself. However, S5 come in at an EXTREMELY close second.
4. scarriest?
Hmm... idk... Dark Willow was scary, but then again the whole thought of the First Evil is too. Sorry, can't vote on this one.
5. Lamest?
NONE OF THEM WERE LAME!!! But S7 was my least favorite mainly because of Spike's whole storyline. It wouldn't have been a big deal if Spike wasn't a maine character... Actually after re-watching evey season, I can safely say that eveyr season is good in it's own way, and none of them suck worse thn the rest. But if you have to take my vote, then S7.
6. Most romantic?
Do I really have to answer? S2 obviously.
7. Hardest to watch?
Sorry. None. I can't vote for this one either. (But if you're talking about episodes, that's a different story. 🙂 )
8. Best acting?
S6
9. Best lines?
Idk, S3 had some pretty memorable lines... S3
10. Disappointing?
S7
11. Not Buffy without?
Huh?
12. Has the best storyline?
S6, just because of all the mutliple, overlapping storylines going on at the same time, that basically have to do with the same, common plot. Willow/Tara, Dark Willow, Spuffy, Buffy comin back, Xanya, Dawn, The Trio, etc. S3 comes in second.
13. Most well written?
Season 2
14. Which is the best season?
Season 6. Because of the reasons I stated in #12. Plus, OMWF.
15. And worst season?
Season 7 because of the reasons I stated in #5. If it wasn't for Spike's boring-ass storyline, I wouldn't have been able to choose.

Okay - I'm gonna write this then go back and read other answers...

1. Which season is the most classic Buffy?
For me, Season Five is classic Buffy - just because the story arc for all the characters was really great and it seems to typify what "Buffy" is

2. Which season is the funniest?
Season two was pretty funny - BB&B is fraking hilarious. Season three has it's funny moments too eg: Band Candy. yeah...all the seasons are pretty funny at times

3. Which season is the saddest?
I'm going with Season Five - Joyce dying, Buffy dying, lots of angst

4. scarriest?
Season one - all those 'monsters of the week'

5. Lamest?
Oh, probably Season Four, not that i don't like it - but the Initiative was not that cool

6. Most romantic?
Season Seven - Spike and Buffy re-building a relationship. That's just more my idea of romance, actions rather than words.

7. Hardest to watch?
Probably Season Six - not because i don't like it (on the contrary, I love it) but because quite a few unpleasant things happen throughout

8. Best acting?
Season Six - challenging scripts and events demand that the acting be equally as compelling and the whole cast rises to the challenge of season six

9. Best lines?
I can't pick a season here. Every season had great lines.

10. Disappointing?
I was never disappointed with a season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer

11. Not Buffy Without?
Season Five - Buffy grew up, oh and the dying was a pretty big deal too.

12. Has the best storyline?
This is hard......*thinks for a while*............probably Season Five -Glory + The Key. Also, I have a soft spot for Spike's redemption arc but that went over multiple seasons and Also love Season Six's Buffy back from the dead storyline too

13. Most well written?
Season Five and Six - really great writing, three was very good too.

And of course:
14. Which is the best season?
Purey a personal thing, but I love Season Seven. I never skip an episode in the re-watch

15. And worst season?
probably Season One - just because they hadn't hit their straps yet.

This is a toughie considering that all 7 seasons dealt with a different side to Buffy. So in fact it isn't difficult, they are ALL classic Buffy.

2. Which season is the funniest?

They all have the hilarious moments, episodes so its hard to pick one season and the ONLY reason I will pick 3 is because of Dopplegangland.

3. Which season is the saddest?

Seasons 2 and 5 are almost joint BUT 5 wins because the deaths of Joyce and Buffy are sadder than the deaths of Jenny, Kendra and Angel.

4. scarriest?

Season 2 was pretty scary with Killed by Death giving me the chills.

5. Lamest?

While there is always going to be a weaker season, I won't pick one here because I loved every season and calling one the 'lamest' suggests I have issues with it.

6. Most romantic?

In every season there was a great romance but I will go season 5 because of Tara/Willow.

7. Hardest to watch?

None

8. Best acting?

All

9. Best lines?

Season 5... Joyce died, and Buffy died...Lot of sad things- but I'll also say some of season 6 with Tara, Anya getting left at the altar, and the grieving Willow

Hmm I don't know...Season 4
5. Lamest?
1. OK it was the start, but was lame when you look at the other seasons

Season 5 Lots of romantic auras

2. Which season is the funniest? possibly season 4... it really had some great comedy, Fear, IUtself, Pangs, the fight they have in The Yoko Factor

3. Which season is the saddest? 7 because its the last or season 2 because of the whole buffy/angel thing but also the pain giles had for the loss of Jenny, etc.

4. scarriest? season 3. faith going rogue and the mayor being really creepy despite the liking i took to him.

5. Lamest? season 7

6. Most romantic? hmmm....i guess season 5 because of both tara/willow and anya/xander

7. Hardest to watch? season 7. it really is so boring.

8. Best acting? season 3

9. Best lines? argh there was great lines throughout

10. Disappointing? season 4, a little bit. i just saw so much more coming out of the initiative than they used it for

Can't decide... but that's the one category where Angel S5 puts them ALL to shame, with the A/S dynamic! 😉

Season 2 (it might have been 5 if I had liked Joyce better 😛 )

4. scariest?
mostly just individual eps I find really scary... but if we're going for overall Seasons, I'd say it's a tie between S6 (Willow's descent) and S7 (Caleb)

5. Lamest?
Not so long ago I would have said S4, but now I'll go for S1 (though a lame Buffy season is still better than the majority of other TV 😉 )

6. Most romantic?
I'm SO not a Bangel, but clearly S2

7. Hardest to watch?
first time around, S4 (found it hard to deal with the change) and S6 (all that darkness hit me HARD). on re-watching, S7 (too much stuffed into it, not enough clarity)

8. Best acting?
Seasons 2 and 6

9. Best lines?
I'll pass on that, as I just know the not-too-good German dub

10. Disappointing?
4 on first viewing, 7 on later ones

11. Not Buffy without?
Season 2

12. Has the best storyline?
2 and 6

2 and 6

2, slightly ahead of 3 and 6 (those two are tied)

I'm going with a cop-out on this one, if we take classic to mean more aged then S1 :biggrin:

There are super hilarious parts in every single episode of every single season, but I think overall I might have to go with S4, I HATE the arc but it has the highest number of comedically themed episodes.

3. Which season is the saddest?
Umm, I'm going with 5, I mean Buffy AND Joyce die

4. scarriest?
Two... I think... thats a hard one to define.

5. Lamest?
Four, thanks to Maggie Walsh, The Initiative, Riley and Adam.

6. Most romantic?
Season 7, because Touched: Spike's speech, how she asks him to stay and hold her, it was the most romantic thing that ever happened on Buffy EVER!

7. Hardest to watch?
maybe S1, sometimes I wish I could just edit all the monster of the week stuff out of my DVD's and just watch the interactions between the scoobies and the Master arc.

8. Best acting?
couldn't possibly choose

9. Best lines?

10. Disappointing?
I like 4 the least but I wouldn't really say it dissapoints me.

Season 5 NO CONTEST! The Glory/ The Key arc is the best hands down.

Its got to be season 2 to me that was the best Buffy season ever.

2. Which season is the funniest?
I can't really decide on that one its between season 2 and 4 for me.

Season 5, with Joyce and Buffy dying that was the most gut wrenching to see.

Season 2 had the scariest monster that was Der Kinderstodt.

Season 6, too dark and depressing for me.

Season 1, a bit too corny now compared to the other seasons.

Season 5, Buffy coming home to see her mum dead was some powerful acting and how Willow coped with Tara's mind being lost.

The big speech from Buffy in season 7 where she reveals her plans about making all the potentials in to slayers.

10. Disappointing?
Season 7, built it up well and then went for a lame "big" ending.

Season 3.

12. Has the best storyline?
Season 2, seeing the one person you love suddenly become evil, damn thats tough.

Once again season 2.

I'd have to go with S4 because nothing really bad or sad happend so they had lots of time to make funny episodes (Something Blue, Pangs, ect.)

3. Which season is the saddest?
Season 5 because of Joyce and the final episode was so sad!!!

4. scarriest?
The only episode that was REALLY scary was Hush so S4

5. Lamest?
S1. When I first watched it I liked it but now I just think it's boring.

6. Most romantic?
Definitely S2 because of that whole Bangel thing but since I'm a Spuffy fan also S7. So many romantic scenes!!! But the best is still in Touched!

7. Hardest to watch?
S1 cuz it's boring and S7 cuz of the potentials

8. Best acting?
S5 and S6

9. Best lines?
All the Seasons where Spike was in! He just has the best lines ever!

10. Disappointing?
S4 and S7

11. Not Buffy without?
All of the Seasons!

12. Has the best storyline?
There are some really good ones like in S2 or S3 or S6 but S5 has Glory and the whole thing with Dawn, plus Spike falls in love with Buffy so S5!

All of them!

Like I already said: S5!

S1 cuz it's just kinda boring.

I think Seasons 2 and 3 tie for it; I really can't choose between them.

Hmmm. I'll go with Season 3.

Season 6, definitely.

4. scarriest?
S4, at how bad it was. No, just kidding. Umm. I'll go with Season 6, because Dark Willow is terrifying.

5. Lamest?
Season 4. Followed closely by Season 1.

6. Most romantic?
Season 2 by a long shot. 🙂

7. Hardest to watch?
Season 4 because it sucks....but Season 2 post-Angelus is pretty hard to watch too.

8. Best acting?
Season 5. I mean, The Body alone makes this season acting-wise.

9. Best lines?
Oh, way too many to name.
"You have but-face" is a classic, though.

10. Disappointing?
Season 4 (can you tell I'm not a fan?). And Season 7 was pretty disappointing, just because there was too much going on.

11. Not Buffy without?
...what?

12. Has the best storyline?
2 or 5. S2 because the whole Angel-->Angelus twist was amazing. Making the former hero the current Big Bad was incredible and emotionally charged. S5, well, I think Buffy is one of the few shows that can interject a totally new character, pretend she's been there all along, and get away with it. 🙂

13. Most well written?
That's really hard to pick...but I'll go with Seasons 2, 3, or 6.

Seasons 2 or 6. But if I really had to pick, I'd pick 2.

15. And worst season?
Season 4, followed by Season 1.
