The Subaru that was in the shop finally came out and I test drove it. It was a year older than the other two we looked at (2018 vs. 2019) but the same design. It drove reasonably well except for some roughness at idle but one thing the seller said was that as part of the repair of the car for certification, they had replaced a rear wheel bearing. That raised all kinds of red flags - Subaru wheel bearings can go for 200,000 km before showing any signs of failure and I was wondering if the rear end damage had been more extensive than I was led to believe.

I want pink golf balls! I dont have to buy any of my own stuff yet, but I am on the lookout for pink golf stuff now. I did see some used balls in bulk but they dont post to me here, so still looking.

Mountain Warehouse has a sale on, but I've never sure if it's really a sale, or if they actually sell the items at full price any time. Anyway I bought a new torch and a cookset.

Torch came with batteries included, and will live in the cupboard. Cookset, will go in said cupboard until I can buy a shed, then it will go up allotment with the ring burner I already have.

I did another kmart order up to free postage price, specifically for car floor mats... guess which is the only thing on the order they didnt have?

There's a lego set I want, that's apparently retiring this year. I have no space to actually display it and it's nearly £400. But I want it!

I'm browsing for DVD sets to add to my collection. I just came across some Continuum sets and I think my eyes bugged out of my head. A pre-owned set for $259.99 and another supposedly "rare" set for $799.99. What the actual heck? 😲 Guess I won't be adding that series to my collection.

I finally bought a new mobile phone, a Samsung Galaxy A26. It has 256 GB of internal memory (my old one has 16!) and... other stuff I am clearly not that interested in. Transferring data from the old handset to the new one is proving only moderately painful, the pain mostly thanks to how aged my old phone is.

The phone itself cost £9. The monthly contract has 25 times the data of the old one and is £13 a month less. So, basically no upfront cost. I also got a case and screen protector and I think I messed up putting the screen protector on. As expected.

I just bought 3 things!

An electric clothes airer to obviously dry my washing indoors now the weather has turned.
A gothic black bat surround for my bedroom light switch and a black cover for the switch itself!

I'm debating on replacing my heated airer with a new sturdier one!

I went ahead and bought the Gotham Skyline, seeing as it’s going at the end of the year.

Sadly these more “niche” LEGO Batman sets never seem to have a long shelf life. That fantastic Shadow Box I bought last year didn’t even stay in production for two years! Nice to have another “Bat-collectible” to display with the collection though.

I was looking at golf clubs, because if I have my own set, I dont have rely on the seedy secretary to open the shed for me for hire clubs. And then I can go out to play golf whenever I want. I can play with 3 clubs, but at around $200 a club, it might just be worth getting a full cheap set. I dont play seriously, I just want to hit the ball until it goes in the hole. But I will keep looking cos if I want a full set, might as well have a 3 and 7 wood too, and down to a 5 iron if I can find a set like that.

I bought a new television remote. The old one really did not last very long without the buttons started not working properly. Naturally, it was out of guarantee.

I bought clothes yesterday. So many clothes. Both in store and online. Almost £400 of clothes! Nine tops, two sweatshirts, two sets of PJs, two pairs of trainers, a pair of slippers, a towelling robe, a pair of jeans, hankies, socks and underwear.

I really shouldn't wait until things build up like that.
