A massive natural disaster is about to occur on Earth. Shelters have already been created inside a mountain, where the lucky few will survive...
For some odd reason, you have been chosen to select six men and six women whose job is to procreate. But they have to be celebrities. So...who do you choose? Who would have the strongest, healthiest, and most attractive children?
 
And there I was taking you seriously, just for a moment though. Because several shelters have been created, some have been built to store plant seeds, those that have been created to house people are for thousands of people, worldwide they are built to house two million people.

So for your example I'd go for people who can help promote a safe future, so 2 male surgeons, 2 female midwives four police officers. Two female virgins and two male virgins, they are the ones who will create a new population and they are all the same skin colour, preferably not white. No army people, no religious people.

Six women and six men plus me? Only celebrities? Hmm. Well I'd pick SMG and Freddie cause they're so cute together. Then I'd also pick Eliza, Amy Acker, Amy Adams, Emily Blunt and Scarlet Johansen. For guys for sure Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth. Lol. Also Michael Phelps lol. And Grant Gustin and Derek Theler. Yea I'm being shallow with the men. Lol. I have no idea. I'm not sure celebrities are the best to start over with. Other than they are gorgeous looking. Lol
 
I started making a list, realized all of them were gay, and came to the conclusion that if left in my hand, the human race is probably doomed.

@Athena brought up a good point; and YES, you're all allowed to fool around with your choices. (Procreation shmocreation! If the world is ending, make sure you get laid as much as possible!)

The world is ending now, its just going to take a long time, maybe. About those folk who get laid a lot are they (hmm I can't use that word here, how about - go forth and multiply?)

to stop racist views by people based on skin colour it is necessary to pick a skin colour that won't change. A white male and female can have a baby that is born with a skin colour that is dark brown whereas a male and female of dark brown skin colour cannot have a baby with a white skin.
A small population will negate the reason for an army, so the police should do. And by removing all religions completely there should be fewer conflicts. You could still have a God if you want.
And the celebrities I choose would be in those roles stated and not have famous names.

If that is not an acceptable excuse I'll name hunks who were around in my youth, before electricity was invented.
 
Feel bad for objectifying, but Tom Hardy, Paul Rudd, Michael Fassbender, Ryan Gosling, Idris Elba, Daniel Craig . . . this list could go on and on 🙂 Sorry, too distracted to pick the women, someone else will have to do that

The gene pool of only 6 pairs of humans is too small for the race to continue, especially when the mortal rate of newborns is high. You need at least 6 thousand or something.

Agreed. I did the maths and basically if each celebrity pair had one child each, and the children had one child each, the grandchildren would be genetically related and therefore incest would be an issue. As Giles put it "The earth is doomed".

I disagree with so much of this.

1. Your solution to racism isn't to teach tolerance towards others of different skin colour but to eliminate people of a certain skin colour based purely on their skin colour. Your shelter is running a "No Whites" policy. That is wrong. On a side note, why should racism even be an issue. The easiest solution to racism is to pick six people WHO ARE NOT RACIST!

2.You say no religious people but then say "you can have a god if you want". Which is it? Someone who believes in a god regardless of which god it is still counts as a religious person. Again you're solution isn't to teach tolerance but to remove all faith. What if someone's religious but hasn't declared it, instead preferring to worship privately without infringing on others beliefs? Are you going to kick them out? Again, religion shouldn't be an issue if you choose six people that don't discriminate against others.

3. Having an army guy wouldn't hurt. Soldiers aren't all about shooting people, they're taught survival skills, something which would be valuable in an end of the world scenario. They are also probably better trained to handle escalating conflicts with firearms used only as a last resort.

It is clearly a natural disaster that is going to wipe out all human life on earth barring the people in the shelter eg a giant meteor or something. Words like "lucky few will survive" and "job to procreate" gives this away.

My points are still valid.
 
Let's not bring race or religious belief into a topic that's supposed to be a light-hearted hypothetical 'end of the world' type discussion, as this could cause offence to someone unintentionally.
