The Slayer and the Hellmouth

Buffy was "the last guardian of the hellmouth." She guarded it for 7 years, and stopped at least half a dozen apocalypses. The hellmouth was undoubtedly where the major demon action was. So, how come none of the other Slayers ever mentioned ever guarded that or any other hellmouth? If another one exists in Ohio, it's a fair bet that there are others throughout the world, all of the other Slayers ever depicted just seemed to either work around their birth place (or wherever their Watchers took them) or travel from one place to another, slaying whatever demons that they could find, until they died.

The Sunnydale Hellmouth didnt seem to really become active until Buffy moved there. Thus why no other Slayer that we know of guarded it before. But ofcourse Buffy wasnt assigned to Sunnydale by the council, she just happened to move there. Slayers generally are sent where there is major demonic activity just like Kendra being sent to Sunnydale twice.

But im guessing that the hellmouth in cleaveland was just awakening and hasnt become a huge threat like the sunnydale hellmouth was.

My theory would be that the council was made up of a bunch of stupid morons with odd priorities.
I would think the Hellmouth would be where you'd be sending ALL your Slayers. Like, why not send Kendra to Ohio right off the bat?

I had kind of thought that might be where Faith CAME from, but that is probably just my head making crap up so that it makes more sense.
If we don't know where Faith comes from, then I say we go with Cleveland, it works for ME!

There are other evils in the world. And the Hellmouth wasnt even that active until the late 90s so there was no reason to send a slayer there. And the one in cleaveland obviously hadnt started up to the effect of drawing major demons to it or apocolypse'.

Slayers are sent where they are needed.

I'd have thought that a Slayer is called where needed. If they are no longer needed there, or the Council would prefer them elsewhere they are moved. I seriously doubt that Joyce just happened to move to Sunnydale. Giles was even in place already.

Who's to say that the Slayers from the past weren't stationed on Hellmouths or other such areas. We know Faith was in Cleveland for a time. Also, remember that the Sunnydale Hellmouth had been blocked for years by the Master, so a Slayer wasn't necessary.
