What if...
principal snyder came in during season seven and Wood was the one eaten by the mayor is season three?
Other than it would be just wrong for us to think Faith would be intimate with Snyder, could he be a good partner for the final battle as opposed to Wood?
How much do you believe Wood helped in the final season? Would Snyder be inclined just to give The First detention for being unruly?
 
Wood was essential to the growth of Buffy, because he was one part of a bigger picture that allowed Buffy to see that she could have a normal life. Slayers have had children, so could she.
 
I don't like wood, and I would have loved to see Snyder as principal when the gang is grown up and with Dawn in school, I think it would be so funny how snyder deals with the former pupils.

But I don't think they could have switched places, It wouldn't have worked.

i didn't like Wood much either, but i kinda do have to agree with Dzhugashvili. wood was important to Buffy, showing her that she could still go on to have a normal life. she had never heard of a Slayer having a child before, and then here was Wood, living proof that slayers can have normal lives too, if they work at it and want it enough.
Nikki would have known that she probably wouldn't live to see Robin grow up, but she still wanted him to be a part of he life. and maybe that was selfish on her part, knowing that she would be leaving her son without a mother, but by the time S7 ended, Buffy knew that there would be other girls who would be able to take over from her if and when she decided to have a child. Robin was able to show her that this was possible.
i don't think the same could be said if Snyder was the principle in S7...can you really imagine Synder fighting vampires? he knew they exsisted, but it wasn't his job to fight them.
i think if Snyder had been in S7, he would have been killed by the rock that was thrown at Robin by one of the students...remember when he said he was too busy ducking from the other rocks to see who threw it? Snyder would have been handing out detentions and the other rocks would have hit him and cracked his skull.
 
Wood would never have been eaten by The Mayor. He was smarter than that. He knows about demons and such.

And if Snyder was in season 7, they wouldnt have had him to help with the final battle.

ok so it pains me to say ( since I love you more than I should), but I have to disagree. To me Wood was an example of how Slayers could try to have a normal life, but would never really be able to. Wood was abondoned by his mother for her slayer duties that ultimatly ended in death. Was it responsible for the slayer to have a child? hmmm I think I will start a new thread to ponder this futher....

As for Snyder in season 7 instead of three. no way! That is one of my favorite moments in the series, Snyder having one of his Bossy Principle Moments and then the Mayor gobbles him up. I never saw it coming... Priceless!

Hey if you want to discuss the whole responsible parent/slayer thing I started a new thread in season 7, "Can A Super Hero be a Super Mom?".

That's a valid point. However, as I mentioned, I'm talking about the bigger picture. Yes, Nikki was a prime example that the Slayer could not be a Slayer and a parent. Buffy had all the jigsaw pieces, she just didn't know what they meant, or how the pieces would fit. It all fell into place with her 'activating all the slayers' plan. Buffy is still a slayer, but she is not the only one, her responsibilities were greatly lessened. Meaning she could devote the time to raising a child, and still kill the odd demon or two.

Also, I think Buffy might have had some doubt whether it was physically possible for Slayers to have children. Wood quelled that doubt.

So ashamed. I LMAO-ed when I read this.
I'm currently watching season seven and I have to say I do like Principal Wood. Although, I haven't gotten to the episode First Date which is when Buffy tells him she's the slayer and probably when he starts getting unpleasant.
 
I love ROBIN Wood(in caps for all you dirty minded people out there ROB). I thought he was fantastic. Hated Snyder though
