The Soon-to-be-released Doctor Horrible DVD

Omg, you know when Dr. Horrible sings "take a pic, do a blog" (it might be a different line) to that one guy? Well, that guy is ACTUALLY the nerd from the Buffy epy, "The Pack". Isn't that weird?

And yes, SMG was on set for Act 3. 🙂
 
I actually have yet to see the entirety of Dr. Horrible. I wish I had gotten the DVD for Christmas, it's not really something I feel like going out and buying myself. I'm sure I'd like it if I forced myself to watch it, but for some reason, I just haven't felt the desire. It makes no sense...I love Joss Whedon (well, his writing and directing, not too fond of him) and Neil Patrick Harris. Hmm.

I thought it was something else I expected so I didn´t pick it up. Yes, I have to go get it myself. No delivery to the door. But of course it´s the dvd. Which is great news of course. But I could have had it a whole day earlier. Oh well, I´m happy I didn´t have to wait at least 3 weeks longer. 😀

I finally watched the DVD, I've been busy :tongue:, and Commentary! The Musical is fantastic. 😀 Best DVD extra ever!
 
Commentary! The Musical is absolutely amazing! I can't stop listening to it...I wish they made a separate CD with the commentary songs on it 🙁
 
YAY! I just found all of the Commentary! songs online and converted them to MP3s, so I have them on my iPod. I've been listening to them constantly (while playing Ninja Ropes, of course. How did Nathan get 119.3 yards?!)

My favorite song is The Art, Neil's Turn, Better Than Neil, or the one Joss sings and my favorite lyrics are the ones in Better Than Neil, especially these lines:

"He makes seven figures and gets Emmy nods, I make seven layer bean dip of the gods!"

"Look at his smallness compared to my tallness, my porcelain dollness, my port-in-a-squallness, my kids-in-the-hallness, my Pink Floyd's the wallness, my three parts of gaulness, my just all-in-allness, my wonderful me-ness, my hammer the pe--ople can tell that I'm awfully swell!"

Nathan is amazing.

Also love the chorus in Zack's Rap. And I think Steve's Song is hilarious.

They really should make a cd with both these and the "real" songs. The first cd is only 22 minutes or something anyway. A cd with all songs would sell a lot better is my guess.
 
After listening to all the songs on YouTube so I could hear them separately...

I definitely agree that they need to make a cd with both regular musical and commentary musical songs. The songs are really well done and very catchy. I love 'em.

I think my favourite is Nathan's song, "Better Than Neil." Not just for the catchy factor, but because I love the interchange that goes on between NF and NPH after it, "That was a sea shanty that my mother sang to me.... my pirate mother." 😉

Although I also really loved Felicia's song, "It's All About the Art" and the shoe comments. She is right about her death scene shoes being dreamy. I remember watching it, and after my friends and I got over the shock of her dying, the first thing we thought of was "We need those shoes!" 😉

On the whole, I think it was really, really well done. However, without a doubt, the best lines were:

NPH: An internet musical is a wacky idea that's zany, where did it come from?
Joss: It came from pain.
NPH: Uuuuh, let's not talk to Joss.
NF: He's sad and confusing.

So, when's the sequel coming out? 😉
