Sequel to The Easy Way
Two days later
After Buffy left to patrol and Dawn had left for Janice's Willow grabbed her coat and a pocketknife and left for The Magic Box. She had a plan. She would get Tara back using magic. Why hadn't she thought of it before? She is easily stronger than Tara is and a powerful love spell would do the trick. When she got to The Magic Box she tried the doorknob.
'Locked' she thought, 'well I was prepared for that'. She pulled the pocketknife out from her jacket pocket and pushed it into the lock. When it didn't unlock she sighed. 'd*nm' she thought, 'I'll have to do it my way then.' She pressed her hand to the doorknob and said, "Un-lock". She heard the lock click and rushed into the store.
She flicked on the light and started looking for ingredients. She had just about got them all when she heard the door open.
"Hello? Is anybody here?" Willow edged around the shelf trying to see who was there and not be seen but in her haste she knocked of a jar of newt eyes. "Willow! What are you doing here?" (pause) It was Buffy. She picked up the jar and said, "I thought you were off the magics." Willow stammered "I...I am." Buffy looked at her with a puzzled and imploring look and said, "Then why are you here?" She pulled a few things form Willow's arms. She gasped. "Willow... these are ingredients for a love spell! Who..."
Willow spoke up at last. "Tara. But Buffy, you don't understand. I want this over. All the waiting and the pain. Buffy I want her back. (pause) Now."
To her relief Buffy didn't ask any questions but said briskly "I know. I know it's hard. But this isn't the way. Now let's put this stuff back and go home"
"Okay"
The next day
Buffy didn't tell anyone about it but Willow knew why Buffy was home more.
'She just wants to make sure I don't use anymore magic' Willow thought as she fixed breakfast.
"Hey Will."
"Hey Dawn! Did you have a good time at Janice's?"
"Yeah Ooh...I'm late! Love you! Bye Buff!"
Buffy yelled "Dawn don't leave yet!" But the door had already shut with a bang She ran down stairs and said to Willow, "She left her Trig book."
Willow said, "I'll take it to her. Now eat up, you need your energy. Today's the big day huh?" Buffy was starting her first day of work today.
"Huh? What? Oh! You're right! I'm late! Thanks for taking Dawn her book. I got to go! Bye!" Buffy rushed upstairs and about a minute later she was back fully dressed. "Thanks for the breakfast. Bye!"
'Good' Willow thought, 'now that she's gone I can work in peace. Dawn doesn't have Trig 'til 1 so...Where to start?'
She got out the supplies she nicked from the Magic Box while Buffy wasn't looking.
She light the candles and said "Diana.... Hear me. Bring me back the one I love. Tara. Let her forget the pains I've caused and let her remember the love we once shared." She chanted this three times and then said; "When this crystal turns pink the spell shall be cast. And only when the crystal is crushed will this spell be broken."
Afterwards she went to give Dawn her book and to order Mexican for dinner.
At ten that night the doorbell rang. It was Tara.
"Tara!...Oh Tara!"
"Can I come in?"
"Yeah sure!"
"Will I'll cut to the chase...I love you. I want you back...because...I can't live without you. I don't care about the magic anymore."
(Silence falls)
