This just popped up on Whedonesque "Great TV 'I Love You's'."

EW wrote: We have to make this quick because just thinking about the tragedy of this episode and those bitchy oracles makes us hurt in ways only this couple can. The most wrenching part, of course, being when the seconds inch by and Buffy repeats, ''I'll never forget. I'll never forget.'' We never did.

''How am I supposed to go on with my life, knowing what we had? What we could have had?''

Excuse me while I bawl my eyes out...:dramaqueen:

Aw that is pretty awesome! That episode basically tries (and half succeeds) at ripping out my soul and making me eat it. *sad face.

Though I must add the Mulder and Scully love!!!!! OMG YES! I love them.

Count me in as another Spuffy who cries during this scene. 🙂

Actually, when I was 15, (and still a Bangel because back then the notion of "Spuffy" was a bit weird, LOL) I remember not being able to get through my classes the next day without remembering this scene and tearing up. It was a mess.

Aw that scene is heartbreaking indeed, yet I love watching it... it's just so darn well made. Oh the sadness... Way to go EW staff though, good pick! 🙂

I refuse to re-watch that scene! This comes in a close second to Becoming Part II for me in being the most depressing, heart-wrenching, sad scene on TV EVER.

I'm really starting to like the EW staff! Smart bunch 😛

Totally agree. As sad as it is, it is one of my favorite scenes to watch. Sarah and David were amazing!

PassionBecoming I totally agree with you. This scene and the scene at the end of Becoming Part 2 are heart wrenching!! I cry everytime I watch both of them!
