The Tattoo Thread no.2!!

Eyeball tattoos? EYEBALL tattoos? :aah:

I didn't know that was even possible... and I'd prefer not to have learned that it is. Absolutely gross (especially as I'm another member of the "no touching the eyes, EVER" faction). Really, whoever wants to get that done to themselves oughta have their head examined!!!
 
I'm getting inked on Wednesday! I really cannot wait! I may take my iPhone and post on here while I'm getting it done if you're all lucky enough 😉

I'm looking at getting a Buffy tattoo in the next year or so as well. I've asked the lovely and talented inthedoorway to attempt to draw me up a Buffy pin up girl, which would be a very cool Buffy Board story!

I haven't got a tattoo, sometimes I want one sometimes I don't, but I do love the artwork and the designs, I really like David Boult's tattoos and when I get the chance I'm fascinated with the Miami Ink tv series
 
So I went for my tattoo today wasn't as bad as I thought was so scared while I waited for the guy though.

It didn't hurt at all but it was an annoying sensation I'm already thinking about my second Tammy loves it and said it was well romantic.

Having a star behind your ear you felt was no longer relevant to your personality but you see getting tattoos of several cultural references to a series of children's books that reached the height of their popularity towards the wane of the twentieth century as a sensible alternative?

Yeah, but you're 19 now. Do you still think that it will be sensible to have a Harry Potter tattoo when you are say, seventy years old, nobody remembers or cares what Harry Potter is and you've completely left it behind? Getting a Harry Potter tattoo would be an awful mistake to make.

To you, yeah. To me, it's great. I grew up with the books. I've been reading since the moment they were released so yeah, they are a part of me. I don't effing care what age I am. If you don't like it, then YOU don't get one but it's my mind and my body and I'll do whatever I please. You need to stop being so rude.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, and I mean this in the nicest possible way, but you're 15, so you should save the life lessons, and not call other people's personal choice's 'awful mistakes'. Be supportive, or leave it alone. You don't know what those books mean to her. I'm sure it's more than just a 'child's book' to her, and its impacted her life. Who cares about the cultural reference, and if it will someday be outdated. You should get tattoos for yourself, it dosn't matter what cultural impact it's had, just the impact its had on the person getting it.
I think theres nothing wrong with getting something like that tattoo'd, even if in 20 yrs shes not into the HP, it was once a big part of her life.
And shes 19. Shes an adult. Its up to her what she does.

It's also possible to get a tattoo removed. And it's not like she's getting "DRACO MALFOY IS MY LOVER" tattood across her chest.
