Have any of you guys seen a trailer of The Theory of Everything? It's an bio-pic about Stephen Hawking. I think the release date was bumped from New Years to November. While I really dig this guy, these trailers they've been releasing only make me want to research the guy further.

The trailer has things I love.. I love old-college movies. The 'dead poets society/beautiful mind' look. Well dressed, college, old world, etc feel. Plus, brittish, science, etc.. but the worst part is that these two minute previews seem to be tear-jerkers alone, haha

I have seen the trailers for this and it looks both amazing and beautiful. Your right, it has a 'A Beautiful Mind' look to it. I am also curious about the life of Stephen Hawking. I think we all forget that he wasn't always in a wheel chair and affected by ALS. He is one of the greatest minds ever and this is a great movie and chance to remind us all of that. Plus it looks like a love story, and since we know kind of how it turns out, it has an almost tragic feel to it. Can't wait to see this when it comes out.

An amazing man. Arguably, the most brilliant thinker alive. I hope this film does him justice.

I'm usually not a fan of movies like this because more often then not its about making money and not paying tribute to the person behind the inspiration. But here, it really seems like it will be an excellent movie, and it will bring a lot of awareness concerning ALS and how brilliant Stephen Hawking was. Still now, there's so much ignorance concerning the matter and who this great man was. And the actor they chose to portray him looks phenomenal, and actually has a strong resemblance to SH, great casting choice.

Now I just hope they put the profit of this movie towards founding research. I also hope that the movie won't shy away from science. I would hate to have a movie about the most brilliant physicist of our time oversimplify things too much. I know it has to be accessible to the public, but hopefully they are able to portray his intelligence well in this movie.

I don't know... as Fuffy Baith said, it looks like a love story. That makes me much less interested.
Hawking is a fascinating man. But I can't say that I'm particular interested in his personal life.

I saw a trailer for this in the theaters about a month ago and I have been looking forward to its release every since. True, if they focus too much on the romance it might take away from the focus of Hawking himself, but I am still intrigued. I hope it turns out well. Can't wait for it to be released!
