The tie-in web comics -- canon or not?

There was an online webcomic that accompanied issue #21, and it's been announced there will be another when #22 is released next week. It may be they're going to have one to go with each of the 5 issues in this current "Predators & Prey" arc.

I'm wondering whether these webcomics should be taken as canon or not. They're produced by Dark Horse, written by the issue authors, and tie in directly to the story in the comic. But does JW see and approve them before they go up?

Presumably nothing of any real importance to the main story is going to happen in the webcomics, which are mostly promotional things. I just wonder where they stand canonically.
 
I never actually looked them up/read them... is their anything worth reading? I figured they would be mostly filler, is their anything that would actually need to be determined as canon?

I don't know that they're "filler" really (what are they filling?)... it's true that they're not vital to the central story, or haven't been yet. But they do have events and character interactions in them, and I'd just like to know whether those events and interactions really happened or not.

The Harmony one is like an episode of her reality show, about her and Clem. It was written by Jane Espenson and illustrated by Karl Moline (who did "Fray" and "Time of Your Life"). It's pretty amusing.

I don't know what the #22 one will be about.
 
Hmm, well i quite like JE as a writer so i'll have to go check em out. Im surpised their doing comics on the side when they seem to regularly have trouble getting them out in 4 weeks.

No, but I was hoping not to have to go by assumptions. I suppose I'll assume they're canon until I hear otherwise.

I'm hoping these webcomics will be included in the "Predators & Prey" trade paperback when it comes out.
 
I'm pretty sure they won't be, but they will be printed in a Dark Horse Presents TPB.
 
They cant be 'non-canon'. I'm sure they're still canon.
I think each issues have own 'predator' and 'prey' but they're connected. I think they just wanna tell us what each characters are doing and the main story will continue in issue 25 LIVING DOLL. I read in wikipedia.org, they said the writer will reveal more information about Twilight in issue 25. So I think they just take a break in issues 21-24. : erm :

The actual paper comics are definitely canon... it's the online webcomics that I was wondering about.
 
Scott Allie says the webcomics *will* be included in the Predators & Prey TPB. So that also means yes, they're canon.
