There is probably a meaningful social comment in this thread title but, feh...I can't be bothered...

Anyhoo, I read in today's Radio Times that Channel 4 is due to start showing Lost in August and intends to launch it in grand style. I'm looking forward to seeing this show after the good things our trans-Atlantic friends have been saying about the show.

I thought it would never get here, I've been wanting to see it so badly since I heard so much good about it.

Anyone think we might be seeing Veronica Mars in the UK any time soon?

I've just found a short summary of the article on the Radio Times site -

Lost is the latest ratings-topping American drama winging its way across the Atlantic "“ Channel 4 is determined that it doesn't crash and burn when it arrives here in August

That's great news for you guys! I didn't catch it myself (upon it's original airing) but intend to do so with summer re-runs!

It was meant to be shown in January but due to the success of Desperate Housewives it was pushed back, which kind of annoys me. I love Desperate Housewives but I really want to see Lost. It would suit summer so can't we have it now and Big Brother when Tony Blair becomes a woman (ie never ever ever!).

Anyway yeah I heard they got the cast to do some promos for the show and ads will be shown over summer. Only problem is avoiding spoilers from America.
