Alright folks, we all love our Whedonverse shows and characters but we don't always find every character and plot line lovable. In fact, we all probably have numerous things we dislike; right?

Well, in honor of Be Nice on the Internet Week, we are going to ask you all to look past the imperfections and find something nice about a character or story-line you usually write off.

***Warning - if you can't play nice and come up with something nice or give a genuine complement then find another thread to post in. Sarcastic remarks and insults masked as complements will be removed. ***

Here is my unusual appreciation:

I admire Xander's kindness when he bought Cordy the prom dress she wanted but couldn't afford.

Great one! :D
I was always wondering who had to play the werewolves in season 4 of BTVS. It was surely hard work to act into such a warm costume. It was surely very hot inside of the costume! Respect.

I think Xander wanted Buffy's best when he told her to go after Riley and had that speech. I think he saw that she had been happy and that Buffy and Riley had a calm and not destructive relationship. He wanted buffy to have that. While I don't always have agreed with Xander in the way he handled his friendship I do appriciate that he was trying to be a good friend.

I appreciate Dawn who tried to take care of Buffy right after she came back to life and protected her like a real sister, while all the others kinda fell on her without giving her space that Dawn understood she needed.

While I don't always agree with her handling of the situations, I appreciate that Dawn has gone through many abandonments (her father, Angel, Riley, her mother dying, her sister having to sacrifice herself, Giles leaving) and feel for her because she feels so lonely.

Even though it hurt her, I respected Xander's decision to call off the wedding to Anya. A lot of people find it horrible, but I think the more mature decision was to walk away instead of getting married with reservations and fears.

I think that even if Angel didn't always do the right thing, he had good intentions sometimes. Probably more than Spike did, at least at first. I'll always be a Spuffy, but maybe I need to give Bangel a bit more credit.

Deep breath (and I will come back to this thread for plenty more of this) I like Riley in early season five. In fact he had some lines that truly made me laugh out loud. And I appreciate that he truly was good for Buffy if you look at a big picture. He had his flaws, but he tried.

I love that Andrew told Xander that Anya died trying to save his life. It's one of the few times I actually want to hug Andrew.

I always admired Angel for...well, he was always...at least he never...

I always admired how ingenious and even artistic Warren was to be able to design and build two bots so perfectly that they could actually be confused as human without a very close examination, and even more than that, he did it basically in his garage work shop with just simple hand tools.
