The Up Coming Apocalypse

Well I believe in the theory that says that the Mayan calendar was actually about rebirth (I read a long thing about how they counted time and cycles of it) and not a firey end of times, so I'm not sweating this Apocalypse... either...

But if the Apocalypse comes... beep me! 😉
 
I like the explanation that it's the equivalent of believing that the world is going to end on December 31st because it's the last day in your diary. The Mayan culture was wiped out by the Spanish long before they needed to add another cycle to their calendar.

It's kinda funny the police department in a city not that far from where I live posted on facebook saying that anyone who has any murders/rapes/robberies/violent crimes to confess to should do so now, since the world is ending there's nothing to be afraid of. They even offered an "End of the world dinner" to anyone who confessed! Wonder if anyone took the bait 😀
 
Well, it's about 30 minutes past midnight here and nothing... Guess I better get that homework done for the morning, ugh. Disappointment. 😛
 
I've freakin' loved seeing all the apocalypse jokes going around. Especially on tumblr. People are getting annoyed by them but I've been giggling away at them :')

But happy apocalypse day everyone. It's been a bit of a let down so far 😛
 
Well actually people, if it's the 21st (no time specified) and in the South American time zones, there's still plenty of time 😉

It would be kinda funny if something actually still did happen late in the day, now that everyone is already dissing.

All I remember is season 4 when Giles says it's the end of the world AGAIN.

Giles: “It’s the end of the world.”
All three kids: “Again?”
Giles: “It’s ah, the earthquake, - that symbol, -yes.”
Buffy: “I told you. I-I said end of the world and you’re like ‘poo-poo southern California, poo-poo!”
Giles: “I’m so very sorry. My contrition completely dwarfs the impending apocalypse.”
Willow: “No, I-it can’t be. We’ve done this already.”
Giles: “It’s the end of the world, everyone dies. It’s rather important really.”
Willow: “So what do we do?”
Buffy goes and picks up a crossbow: “I stop it.”
 
It is 4:59 am on the 22nd, I had a good laugh at all the folk who got the date wrong.
The end of the world actually happens at 5:00am today, that's in 5, 4, 3, 2,
 
Thought the end of the world was starting when a zombie knocked on our door earlier. Would have brained that effer if I hadn't realized it was only the Super's son who had just gotten out of bed......
