The Vampire Dusting Sound Effect

Did anybody notice that in Ats the vampire dusting sound effect in season 3, 4, & 5 sounded different than the ones used in Buffy? In Buffy the dusting effect have the vampires screaming while turning to dust. In "Angel" especially in season 4, they just turn to dust

Mhm somebody payed attention. 😀 I think that this fact has nothing to say, they just trའto sound a little bit cooler than the old ones. Which one do you prefer [MENTION=7000]The Chosen[/MENTION] Slayer and all other BB-Members?

Nope, I never noticed. I guess they were just trying to improve the effects as the show went on.

I just watched a scene from btvs and see what you mean now. They don't really scream, it's just... well, loud. I guess one could argue that it's the demon that screams, without the vampire actually... screaming. Since tehy don't actually seem to be yelling. You know? I can't recall if i liked the silent dusting better.

I vaugely recall what spike sounded like when dusted in Time Bomb, and I thinm the scream-effect would have ruined that. So while I'm usually for continuity, maybe it's for the better.

Yeah I don't think it was the vampire screaming, but the demon inside of them.

I don't think it was representing anybody screaming....just a sound effect so you knew the vamps were getting dusted but I did notice when they took it out and I preferred it
