The Wish - Luke and Darla

In The Wish, I always wondered about Luke and Darla. Wouldn't they have been at the Master's side? Although I guess Vamp Willow and Xander were sort of their replacements? But I always thought it'd be cool to see Luke and Darla again 🙂
 
Who's to say, in that reality, that they even still existed? Or that Darla ever went back to work with the Master after Angelus got his soul?
 
I always wanted to see them return, back at the Master's side. But I guess that's a possibility. After all it was another universe (Wishverse) so I guess anything's possible 🙂
 
That would have been a cool thing to see... But I also did love the idea of Willow and Xander replacing them, too.
 
I'd actually like to see Vampire Willow and Xander with Darla and Luke. They'd sort of make a good foursome group. But not as good as The Fanged Four; Angelus, Darla, Dru and Spike haha 😛

I imagine the actors were not available at the time of shooting of The Wish, hence them not being in the episode. Like everyone else has said though, anything could have happened.
 
Angel had been in Sunnydale for awhile prior to Cordy making her wish, so there's a possibility that he staked Darla in that timeline just like he did in the "real" world. That might explain why he was being held and tortured rather than just dusted himself. I seriously doubt that he would have been able to take a brute like Luke, though, so maybe he was away on some sort of mission at that particular time.

i've honestly never thought about that.
but it would have been super cool, the master and his "fanged four family" together, and what if spike had sired vamp willow and vamp xander? then they were "part of the family?" cool 🙂
 
I never thought about it either. I wonder if the writers did? Since neither of those actors were regulars, bringing them in would've involved extra effort and cost. Maybe they didn't feel they needed that. I have to say, the episode was double cool, even without them.
 
I just finished watching this episode and for the first time I thought "wait a minute, if the Master is still alive.... where is Darla?" I didn't really think of Luke.. I don't know why...
But it's quite a thought that Darla may not even have come back in this universe. I guess I will just assume that in this universe instead of Darla and Luke, the Master get's Willow and Xander.
 
I like to think that Angel killed Luke, only to get captured by the Three. Then, after Willow started playing with her new "puppy" and the Master didn't do anything to stop her, Darla ran off to Europe to try and force the Romani to lift Angel's curse so that she could have him back.
