If Buffy did end this season, what would be the worst ending for you?
Mine probably would be, if they defeat the big bad (not giving away what that is) and then it goes back to Welcome To The Hellmouth, and their just stuck in a loop or something
OR
the possibly worst option, which will never happen, i know Joss is that cruel is if when Buffy ends, it says something like 'congratulations! your on candid camera' or something, and that Buffy and the scoobs were being filmed or something!

I don't know, the ones you mentioned aren't that great, but original nevertheless, but I don't know it could work out great either way ... wether they loose or win, it's all good to me, as long as it is with a lot of power. It's not about winning or losing, It's about power.

loooks like osmeones been paying attention to the 'power anvils' as i call them

well i just hope they dont end the series with a buffy 'a-la-mental-hospital' style finish
or a dallas 'this was all a dream type deal'

or i hope they dont kill veryone
i want guest appearances on angel darnit!

The worst ending would be lots of favorite characters dying... especially Buffy. She has proven more than once that she is an extraordinairy slayer and that she can be strong and just because the show might end, that doesn't mean she should die.

The show ending up a dream will have been one freaking long night of sleep... how would they explain the dying thing...?

in dallas, like 8 years of show was undone by someone waking up and pretty much saying, 'that was one heckof a dream' undoing allt he plotlines, every last thing that had happened in the show

wait i tihnk it was dallas
i KNOW it started with a D

and WHICH dying thing?
cause if you mean the whole buffy dying thing
i dream im dead all the time, weell not allthe time, but once or twice, it like means something esle
so yeh they could *lamely* explain it away like that

I don't think this would be the worst ending but it couldbe to others. Say it does end as a bif buffy dream.. and before buffy wakes up theres flash back thingys from when she was born to the last bit of season 7. Buff wakes up panting ands like "OMG i hope that doesn't happen to me!" And then it goes to her in L.A at hemery high and then she gets called and is told what te slayer is and what her duties are.. and she say's "Do i get paid for this? And um do i have to wear a uniform? Ohh and will i be a superhero?" That would be cool but then there would be no purpose for Angel.....

I think the "Normal Again" thing would be a nice exit, but only for Buffy as a character, that we learn that Slayers are from other dimension, so that both of them exist!

I'd hate it to be a "Normal Again" ending.. I think I'd like to see something happen where Buffy is revoked of her Slayer duties forever (don't know how, but anyway..) and she moves somewhere other than Sunnydale, to try and live a normal life. I think she deserves one.

Remember Helpless? She freaked when she thought she had lost her powers. I don't know if this is a good ending, because we'd all wonder how she was doing not being a slayer.

I don't know what would be a bad ending. I guess a big cliff hanger with no resolation.

The only way I will be completely happy is if Willow come to her senses and runs off with...

I digress.

I think the worst possible way to end the show would be to have them defeat the badguy, and then buffy retires and lives happily ever after, letting the other Slayer (faith, if she's still around) and the SIT's take care of the world.

I just don't think it would be believeable in the buffy universe. Happy endings don't happen. I think we've all pretty much established that. I hope things work out well, but I just hope it's a believeable ending.

Is "Normal Again" the episode where she gets injected by sme demon's venom and keeps going back and forth between buffyverse and the "real world"? You know, the episode where she's really in a mental hospital, Dawn doesn't exist, and her parents are still together (and alive)? and in buffyverse she tries killing her friends?

I'd really hate it if they ended the series with her choosing to stay in that "real world".

I was thinking, and id hate it if Dawn or one of the scoobswoke up and season 6 onwards was all a dream and Buffy was still dead, that would be really stupid

I don't understand this obsession with Angel and Buffy that many people seem to have on this board. Or Willow/Oz for that matter. Since Angel, Buffy has dated several guys, and has loved two at one time or another. Angel, for his part fell in love with Cordelia and still is in love with her. I just don't think there's a way that Angel and Buffy could get back together in any sort of realisitic way this close to the end of the series. Buffy and Spike probably will just because it seems like it's building towards that (the girl in "Help" telling Spike that "She'll tell you."). Anyway, Buffy, Angel, Willow, and Oz have come a long way since they were romantically involved. Sometimes relationships just don't work out. The characters have moved on, why can't we?
