What's the worst movie you ever saw. Everyone has at least one. Mine HAS to be "The Conquerer," which, with a cast including John Wayne, Rita Hayworth, and Lee Van Cleef, directed by Dick Powell would just HAVE to be good. All that I can say is, John Wayne was absolutely NEVER meant to play Genghis Kahn!

OMG, this movie was hilarious . . . for about 5 minutes, then it was stupid.
Braindead. Australian movie so I'm unfamiliar with the actors but it was directed by the guy who went on to do Lord of the Rings. Peter Jackson is it?

I was forced to watch this in Film Class in High School. For Shocking Cinema.

It didn't shock me it was just icky. I hate gore, even gore meant to be created for humor. And this seemed to be the only thing the people behind the film were using to keep it going. It's plot was pointless, dialogue ridiculous, the whole thing was just atrocious. And some of the gore was so detailed and uncalled for I had issues with eating food for a while after.
It was just terrible. I have no idea how it got greenlit. NO. IDEA.

Very Bad Things. A group of us girls got it out for a sleepover one night. Couldn't get through it. Was halfway through with a wtf? feeling.

I tried watching again when it was on Austar a little while ago...now I'm all for low-brow and bizzare black comedies.....but that was still absolutely ridiculous.

"Eyes Wide Shut" with Nicole Kidman & Tom Cruise. I used to love love love Nicole Kidman, so I made my friend go see this with me on opening day...it was soooo bad. We walked out halfway through, idk if anyone has seen this, but it's mostly naked/sex stuff & when I was walking out, I saw my boss which totally grossed me out LOL I was 17 at the time, and he was probably 50, and he was a little creepy (kept a picture of me on his desk for like 3 years after I didn't even work there anymore!)

Out of Africa! I just really do not like this movie. I know that it one best picture at the Oscars so it is probably not a bad movie but I despise it. Our class had to watch it over the summer for English class and so my friend and I rented it and Hot Fuzz! We were so excited to watch Hot Fuzz but we watched Out of Africa first and first of all it is like 3 hours long and second of all it just is boring. Sorry for that long rant but I just really do not like that movie. (Hot Fuzz was GREAT by the way.)

The Village by M. Night Shyalaman.

It was so boring, so long and the twists, and I mean BOTH, were obvious from the very beginning.

The blind girl running all the time in places that were impossible for her to have memorised especially as she was FLEEING.

When the spoof is far better and THAT is from a film that is absolutely terrible, that tells you ALL you need to know.

Ohhh and second on my list would be Cloverfield.

I am completely with you on The Village. I guessed the ending ten minutes in. :sigh:
Lord of the Rings. I tried to watch it with my friend once, we were forced to watch it at school (music class, our topic was film music) and afer that I'd really seen enough. I HATE that movie

ANY movie put out by Uwe Boll (these include "House Of The Dead", "Alone In The Dark", and "Bloodrayne").

Also, "Staying Alive" (the putrid, steaming pile of excrement sequel to "Saturday Night fever"), and the dirty, low down "Good lord, it burns! Make it stop!" debacle that was "Grease 2".

Grease 2 was amazingly horrible!
I'm with OM on Greese 2, also this movie about these 20 something pros which I can't remember the name of, I rented that, Romeo and Juliet Leo decaprio version.

Alone in the Dark and Gothicka are two of the worst i can think of right now. Oh, and i walked out with my ex when we went to see the remake of the Omen. Oh and Van Helsing. and The Hills Have Eyes 2.... (you can tell im a big horror buff).

Respect for being a Horror connoisseur.
WORST MOVIE EVER THE ZODIAC KILLER!!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!

I also really disliked Across the Universe. the movie irked me. I was expecting something spectacular and was amazingly disappointed. I think that the movie tried WAY to hard to be "art" that in the process it turned out to be so far away from it that it wasnt even funny! I mean seriously they throw in this random charcter that has no purpose just so they can sing "Hey Prudence" and it make some semblence of sense. I admit that the voices singing where at least pleasant but so were those in High School Musical and that made a whole heck of alot more sense than this movie. Call me unculutred or what have you, I get that its a love story in the midst of war, but they, in my opinion got so caught up in the "art" that they lost the point of the movie. You either love it or hate and personally I hated it!

the return was also pretty crappy right along with the Grudge 2. (the first grudge wasnt so bad, but the second was beyond horrible!)

Van Helsing. That was just a horrible movie! I also don't like Lord of the Rings. My whole family loves it, but not me!

'The Village' was absolutely vile.

I am so glad I am not the only that hates that film. It was pointless and didn't even scare me- which is a feat considering that the most tame of horror movies frighten me. And the ending was very, very predictable. It's by the same guy who did Signs and I hated that film also. Signs, in my opinion, was a HUGE disappointment.

And I'm so happy there are so many fellow LotR haters on here. Everyone I know loves the films and I just can't stand them. The moment hubby ever puts them on (which I let him do so once a year haha) I fall asleep within ten minutes. And don't wake up till the credits, haha.

I've watched half of one of the LoTR's and fell to sleep.

I also fell to sleep during Serenity, it just didn't hook me. Another film that I absolutely hated was Sin City, I walked out on that one.

I hate Deja Vu (I do like Denzel, though!)

This movie still confuses me, no matter how many times I watch it and discuss it with my husband!

Transmorphers. It's a low budget ripoff of Transformers. It's so bad I spent an entire episode on my online Transformers toy review show ripping into it.

I Know Who Killed Me, starring Lindsay Lohan. I have no problem with Lohan but this movie was a true abomination, the script and dialogue were appalling, the acting was atrocious...pretty much EVERY element of the production was a complete and total disaster, and it literally pained me to sit there for two whole hours. Worst film I've EVER paid to see.

On another note, "The Village" is one of my favorite movies. As is "Cloverfield", and "Lord of the Rings". 🙂
