i'm just wondering: what is the worst toilet/wc/restroom you've ever gone to? one that was just so nasty, or smelly, that you just walked out.. or wanted to walk out of??

mine is greyhound bus toilets! just this big metal box to sit on.. and there was no way to clean your hands, and it was smelly! (but if you have to go- you have to go!)

what is your worst expirience with a toilet?

Oh man...gross! My worst experience...I went to our local park to run, and had brought some change out clothes. They had bathroom facilities there, but I'd never been in. So I take my clothes, walk in, and almost gagged. It was like a port-a-potty, except it was a little wood building with concrete floors and a single por-a-potty toilet. The door wouldn't lock...and the floor was disgusting. I almost went back to the car to change out, but there were people around, so that was out of the choice. The worst part was trying to get my jeans off and the shorts on without touching the floor with my bare feet...*ick*

Any number of concerts/festivals/outdoor shows where they have those dreadful portaloos (mobile chemical toilets) - after the first couple of minutes they start to get distinctly medieval 🙁 and there are usually no washing facilities. Having said that, things are always much better for men at those sort of occasions - we can always find a secluded hedge or wall (plus, the queues are never as long🙂)

xtrustno1x - in your place I would've gone back to the car - public nudity sounds the lesser of two evils🙂

lol mine was in Turkey..my mum went to the toilet and she came out laughing her head of and she said that all the toilet was was a hole in the floor and she said she had to aim! and i wo just laughin my head of so i wnt to go see and it stunk of p*** and there was just this hole in the ground and that was it..

The worst restroom I've been to was at a football game. I remember it was an out of town game, so I didn't know my way around. When I finally found the bathroom I didn't go in because the bathroom didn't even have a door and I didn't want people watching me to go the bathroom. There was nowhere to wash your hands and there was stuff all over the floor. Really gross. I just held it in until I got home lol.

I went camping with school when I was about thirteen. Part of the time we stayed in cabins, but just to really get the experience of camping, they dragged us out about fifteen miles and made us set up tents and whatnot. Anyway, there were bathroom facilities, but they were pretty open. Although they were surrounded by a wall, it was about two feet off the ground and everyone knew exactly what you were doing. To make it worse, there were bugs all over the place, and this having been in Australia, you have to do a reall thourough check for poisonous ones before sitting down.

It was the most fun. Ever.

I've had many gross bathroom experiences, thats why I just go outside now. 🙂 But just a few days ago, I was in a grocery store that made you pay a quarter to use the restroom. I thought it was pretty ridiculous.

I hated most of bathrooms that I had to use when going to Croatia. And in most of them they charged!!

I was on a road trip and I desperatly needed to go to the toilet so I popped into this free public side of the road one. Big Mistake. Not only did it smell, I was...er...doing what people do on the toilet...and a RAT ran in my cubicle! Then I was stuck in this public toilet for about half an hour as everytime I tried to leave the rat headed for the door!

Mr. Pointy: I went to Ozzfest a couple years back, and it poured almost the whole day. They had bathrooms built, but they reeked of...well, mostly pot...but old gym socks and all kinds of bodily fluids. And the worst part is peeling off soaked clothes to use the soaked toilets...*shudders*

I would have opted for nudity had it not been for the little children around...damn kids! I don't think they're mothers would have appreciated it...😉

Took the words right ut of my mouth. Portaloos are the worst....I live by the beach so naturally they have to have a million set around my house for the tourists....

I'm a bit like Finch (in Roadtrip) when it comes to public toilets. The worst one i've seen wasn't actually in person but it was that scene in Trainspotting 'The Worst Toilet In Scotland.'

However when I was in Bulgaria on holiday things were pretty bad, i'm talking holes in the ground, and that goes for the public toilets there too.

Mrs Pointy had a similar experience in Turkey. We went on some trip that involved a visit to a leather factory/shop where the owner declared to the ladies in our party that his toilets were the best in the bazaar. Several of the ladies (including the wife) then decided to avail themselves of said facility. Needless to say, if his was the best (I was told later) we did not want to find the worst - it was described in terms which made me think of the toilet in Trainspotting 🙂 Mrs P still occasionally rants about the lack of toilet bleach or other cleaning materials in the Eastern Med...we men have sooo got it easy when it comes to toilets😛

Ooohh...what a subject! 🙂 Any portapody that I have ever visited has been disgusting and repulsive! I have been to some pretty bad rest area restrooms as well. I cannot think of a specific single one though.

I have to admit to having a fetish. I luv to check out bathrooms at people's houses and at restaurants. I don't necessarily even use them when I check them out! I just really luv bathrooms and I luv to see how people/restaurants decorate theirs. I think tubs and toilets are the greatest (if they are purdy)!

Dà¡Nió: thank you for reminding me of something! i remember another bad toilet, and it was in greece, if i remember corectly this toilet was in a resturant, and it was a whole in the floor, and you had to squat over it, and you couldn't throw paper in...

Wow: thank you all for answering! 🙂 i love hearing bad toilet stories!

Mr. pointy: i've been to a toilet like that i think. it was this russ-meeting(a russ, is a teenager that is gratuating from high school, here in norway, we get dressed up in blue-red or black jumpsuits, and we party for 3 weeks strait! not alowed to take the suits of) and this wasa russ meeting by this lake, and we were at least 200 18/19 year olds, all drinking something or other, and there were 3 toilets brought in for this... the smell was BAD! LOL

My worst restroom was at a nightclub. I'd been to One Step Beyond in Santa Clara to see Wendy O. Williams, Nina Hagen, and the Butthole Surfers, and trust me when I tell you that music was the only reason to go to One Step. The toilet in the men's room consisted of the hole in the floor where the toilet used to be. You took care of business before you went to One Step, if you were smart. No in and outs there.
