I did like the film and I looked forward to the release of the series but as usual in Western Australia getting a DVD of it was proving hard. When the DVD shop I go to could get the DVD's of season 1 season 2 had been released and season 3 will be released in July. I thought that as the film was good the series would be as well, got that wrong didn't I. It took four episodes to stop referring to content from the film, then it went from disappointing to crap. Scriptwriters are told to keep things believable, yet they didn't.
Episode one was okay, episode two gained an okay-ish from me but only because the Silent Brothers reminded me of the Bringers. The first season had 12 episodes the second season had twenty episodes, I doubt if I'll bother with season three.

Yeah I’ve read the book series, it’s alright but nothing special. The series doesn’t even live up to that.

Lol, I tried reading the books but stopped halfway through book 1 in utter disgust. Might've been unfair to the books/series though, just seemed so predictable + girl on girl hatey. I've a friend who loved the books though but absolutely hates the series so I never bothered to give it a try.

I didn't realize until now the movie was in anyway connected to the series.

The film was good, a lot better than the series but the music in the series was much better. It says a lot for the series when the music gets a better rating than the quality of the screenplay, the directing of what the actors portrayed got so embarrassing to watch at times.
If the film had the music by ruelle I'd be a happy chappy.
