Theme Song?

'Bring Me To Life' strikes me more as the Spuffy (Spuffy all the way!) theme song, even if that's unofficially Michelle Branch's Goodbye to You.
'Whisper' would be good from Evanescences 'Fallen', or 'Imaginary' using the first verse. 'Taking Over Me' is more appropriate for an episode, but I suppose snippets could be put together. Maybe 'Going Under' or 'Haunted' . . . Haunted seems perfect, sort of.

Yeah like they dont even have to have the whole song in it it vcould just be some of the music like there a part in 'tourniqut' where its just cool music, if you dont know what im talking about its the part right before one of the guys whisper 'i want to die!!!'
That would be awesome. i htink there might be her singing siren music ya know the ahhaaaahaaa!!!! cool....
 
Bad news guys, i saw a lengthy ad for tru and the music they were playing was A michelle branch song i dont wuite remember what song it was but i know thatr in 'O.C." the sone that they played in the ads ended up to be the theme song. I hipe that im wrong thugh, it jsut doesnt fit for this kinda show.
 
I don't think that Fox will pay the money needed to do use the Michelle Branch song.

From what I read in a post on another message board by Jake Calder (he goes by Calder and JCalder on various boards and he used to be a music editor for movies and tv shows), is that getting the rights for songs like that is incredibly expensive. For theme songs, they have to use a song that's exclusive.

For example, what if some other tv show, commericial or movie trailer started using the same theme song that's used for Friends?

However, you hear the same songs over and over used in tv commericials, movie trailers, ect. The royalities paid can be huge. So it would cost millions of dollars for Fox to get the exclusive rights to that Michelle Branch song.

Bottom line, Fox will find some cheaper music for the Tru Calling theme song, because there's little chance they can afford something like "All I Wanted".

The song they use for The OC isn't some big hit song. It's by some little known band. That's probably what they'll do with Tru Calling.
 
Wllt then that means that they cant do anything form evanescense either. Same thing they would have to pay royalities,

Anyway theme songs arent really theme 'songs' with words they are usually just music, like Buffy, Angel, Friends, Everwood, Charmed, Simpsons, ect. so i think that the music that they offered us on the forum ( in Download the T.C. theme song) is probably correct. Sadly
 
The theme song used in the unaired pilot is probably just stock music, which is what they usually use for pilots. Unless Fox is being cheap, they will use something else. They can find some little known band that sounds similar to Evanescense or whatever style they want.
 
Yeah, the Buffy and Angel songs were great, especially since they were original and without lyrics. The theme song was half the reason that I started watching Buffy (and the other half was the lesbo action, but please don't judge me, because I eventually learned to love the show for better reasons). I hope that this show will have a similarly catchy theme that I can look forward to hearing each time I watch the show.
 
Well actually there are "lyrics" in angel. if you listen closely you can hear som siren music. Ya know ahhhhahhhhhaa ahhhhhaaahhhaa. its actaully kinda cool it goes with the music.
 
I agree as well. I hope it's something as cool as the songs on the shows like Charmed, Smallville or Angel. I always like those type of songs. 😀
 
Still wondering about the theme song, but the score is being done by Robert Duncan, who did the score for Season 7 of Buffy.

Robert did not do the score in the unaired pilot, so all of the music will be different in the aired pilot.

yea i saw that commercial all day today with the michelle branch song playing in the background. any news on which song itll be or do we all just have to wait a few more days?
