Does anyone have any theories on her new power?

So, now we've seen her levitate and kill all the slug things, by glowing. But we havent seen any consequences for her demonness. Especially glaring after an ep specifically about consequences. Didnt Skip say that her demonization would be painful?

So feel free to speculate, but no spoilers please.

I swear I had a theory earlier, but after 3 classes my mind is blank!

Nobody gets out of Buffyverse on the good side

Greets,

I hope they (writers) did not go a little too crazy with this. Yes Connor is back but wait... Cordy can blast about 50 demons away with a flick of her wrist. She didn't hurt anyone else in the room with her, so there has to be some control of the power.

Perhaps this will turn into a major story arc for next season. Angel is so worried about his son's return that he forgets that all of Cordy's gifts must come with a price. Nobody seems to get out of this place happy... just ain't going to happen. 😉

my question is... these things seem to just... happen. Can Cordy control them? Like the levitation?

and how... convenient that one of Cordy's powers is to send out radiant light that kills slug things when they touch her...

I dont know. She never could control her visions, so maybe she has no control over her powers, which stinks. Most demons have control over their powers.

That was kind of convenient. I wonder if she'll ever need the radiant slug killing power again. 😉

She's a big light night now! 🙂

Nah, but seriously, I hope by the finale, the writers will explain what her power is. Especially after what happened in "The Price", they need to say something. That one power sure came out of nowhere.

Maybe she can control them, but just doesn't know how.
All I know is that Everything on this show starts out all confusing, then it all ends up coming together by the end of the season. But so close to the finale, we may not know until next season.🙁

I think Cordy will eventually gain control over her powers, but I don't see it happening, like next week, but with Joss and co., you just never know.

I think it was kinda cool, but I don't like it when almost all the characters get powers. Okay, she's one of the few with powers, but still. I hope it has some side effects that come with it, otherwise it would just be kinda lame.

Maybe when Angel gets his "shanshu" Cordy will get one too, although from what has been seen she's not techinically dead ^^;

Apparently from what Skip said in "Tomorrow" Cordy could control them, but she didn't (maybe she didn't know how, maybe she didn't want to know how). He said that the real test was not abusing her powers, so I assume he meant she could control them. They will probably build a lot more up in the next season about, along with Wesley-sleeping-with-Lilah Wyndham-Price. I have truly loved Wesley in these last few episodes and could someone please tell me what a "shanshu" is, I haven't seen the first season of Angel in ages.

"Lilah: Don't think of me after I leave"
"Wesley: I wasn't thinking of you while you were here"

Daniel,

Yeah Wes's line was excellent!

As for Cordy, I hate cliffhangers!! Where is she going? Is she coming back? Not everyone can have left... then it would only be the Gunn and Fred show.

Shanshu was from some ancient-only-Wes-can-decipher language. The word was part of the prophecies of Arbegiah (is this the right name? anyway it was some old guy who wrote prophecies). Wes originally thought it meant Angel was going to die, but then he realized that whatever dialect he was working w/ to die and to live were the same. So, shanshu meant that Angel would live... that he would become human as his reward for being a good guy, but not for some time, ie. after the coming battles and apocolyses etc.
