There was going to be an animated series?!

Well, the comics are his way of keeping the franchise alive, I believe. I don't think there will ever be a revival the way we want to see it done.

Yep, we're in the second season of the comics, along with Angel & Faith and the various mini-series. Season 10 is being planned. The Buffyverse is continuing, although maybe not in the manner or medium that some fans want.

I'm not a gamer, but I would love to see another Buffy game! I'm currently trying to find the GameCube game at a reasonable cost.

And I'm going to sound like a broken record here because most BBers are probably sick of me saying this: I think Joss at some point should do a Fray movie. 1) A lot of people like the Fray story and want more (since we only have the shortish comic series plus the crossover in Buffy season 8), 2) it's part of the Buffyverse but a newer character that would include fresh ideas, and 3) as a vampire slayer in a futuristic dystopia, it might be well-received.
 
I would of liked an animated series of buffy but from watching the clip that they released of it I dint particularly enjoy it mostly down to the characters voices...
 
I would of liked it in a way it keep the buffy fans happy more merch and magazines be out etc but what I saw it was too comic like it was nothing like the actual show.
 
I would STILL love for them to do an animated series. I thought it looked awesome & I definitely would've watched.
