They are releasing the books again

That's great news I think 😀 I've only saved my favorite editions but I think collectors will get a kick out this

yeah I think it is a good idea. I think they are trying to revive it and bring it to a new audiance. They can't do it with a tv show but what with all the vamp books such as true blood and the vamp diaries this might raise interest.

I saw these books on chapters a couple months back and I remember thinking, WHATS THIS NOW??! I love the buffy books, they pretty much own my bookshelf. I will definitley be buying these to add to my collection, even though I still have the original ones.

Don't know if this book is apart of that series exactly because I have not been able to find them all but I read a book based on Faith I think the title was Go ask Malice has been a while. Has anyone read that one?

that was just what I was thinking. Cause the True Blood diaries are all out in collections too and that gave their sales an upswing.

Well here's for hoping the Buffster draws in some new aficionados 🙂

This one? I read it years ago, so sadly my memory of it is not very fresh 🙁

Thank taake that is the one.
And oh okay i remember it being good but didn't know like if it was involved with the series thanks for the help guys.

Are these books linked to Joss in anyway?

Well, he did not write them, if that's what you're asking. These were originally released during the show, so he was aware of them and gave them the A-ok. I know that he talked with the authors like Nancy and Christopher. I think Chris and him worked on something together, and I know for sure Amber and Chris worked together.

So are they Canon? Do they fit in with the storylines seen on the show?
Actually most of them do follow the storyline! They are stories that happened, I guess you could say "when the camera is off". So these stories do not really change really important things, like killing someone, or breaking up a couple. It's just a story about the gang fighting some creature or such. However, when I say it follows the storyline, I mean if the book was released in 2003 for example, it will take place in season 7 and Buffy will be chilling with Spike, ect. If it was released in 1998, Angel will be there, but not Spike, takes place in that season, ect.

Sounds interesting thanks for that information Emzzie. :smile3:

If i could ask one more question, how long in length are the books roughly?

It's a little odd that they decided to re-release the books in such a random orders, why not release them chronologically? Since I like to read/watch things chronologically I will not be purchasing these. It's a shame... the covers are awesome! :tongue4:
