I think in short Tara and Kennedy might actually get on better than most fans would like to admit; Tara would probably like how alpha Kennedy is and she doesn’t have the issue of magic addiction like Willow.
Kendra and Faith would’ve been even worse than Buffy & Faith seeing as Buffy is much more adaptable to Faiths abrasiveness than Kendra would be. Maybe Buffy entertaining Faiths reckless wild ways at all contributed to Faiths downward spiral in s3 whereas Kendra’s strictness would balance Faith out more and make her shape up into a better slayer.
Jenny and Joyce, of course would be all about Giles.. could be fun to do a lost episode in s2 where Joyce & Jenny meet at Joyce’s art gallery, and some abstract monster in a painting comes to life or something.
I think Fred and Giles would get on great and have a lot to talk about; they’re both so intellectual.. and it’d be more platonic than Fred and Wesley and less drama/baggage than Giles and Willow.
I feel like Xander and Gunn would relate on so many levels, from feeling inadequate and being the “sidekicks” to Buffy & Angel… Xander would probably talk sh!t about Angel to Gunn, at which point Gunn would probably tell Xander to get out of L.A.
As long as it’s post Angel season 5, I think Buffy and Connor would get on well; I wouldn’t imagine romantically but in all reality if Connor did fall for Buffy and vice versa, it’d be no weirder than Angel being with Buffy or Connor being with “Cordelia” (even though it wasn’t really Cordelia). Buffy’s closer in age to Connor than Angel. Not saying it wouldn’t be weird in its way but when you think about it…
