Is there anyone here that has any scenes or lines or anything from the two shows that didn't make any sense or you never understood?I have a couple.

1)Why exactly did the Beast come out from the ground where Connor was born?

2)In Long Day's Journey, when evil Cordy killed Manny, how come Angel couldn't smell the blood all over her?Especially after he said he'd be able to smell Connor if he had been there.

3)In the BtVS episode Witch, how come Willow acts like she hasn't seen Amy in a long time, when they have the same chemistry class?

4)In What's MY Line, how come Kendra couldn't sense Buffy wasn't a vampire?Don't slayers have that special honing skill?

5)How come nobody ever checked on Cordy when she was loceked up in her room all that time in season 4?I mean it was just a shot in the leg for all everyone knew. She's been through worse.

Maybe someone can come up with some kind of explanation to these.Anyone else have any things that didn't make sense to them?

I've always wondered about that too. And on that same note, why didn't Buffy realize that Angel was a vampire in season one before he vamped out in her room?

Well, I don't know the answer the any of these to be honest... I'll not add how was the Slayer line disrupted to this list... but I guess

6) Why was the Circle of the Black Thorn never mentioned before Season 5, and why did we never see any of the members, since they were all so very influential?

All my own theories but here goes ...

I think this was just another way that Jasmine was manipulating the gang in order to get her way. By having the Beast come out of the ground where Connor was born and making certain that Cordy and Connor where there to see it she ensure everyone would be assuming that Connor was linked to the Beast, thereby causing the disruption she wanted.

2)In Long Day's Journey, when evil Cordy killed Manny, how come Angel couldn't smell the blood all over her?Especially after he said he'd be able to smell Connor if he had been there.

It was stated that Cordy had stripped herself naked whilst killing Manny and then washed herself clean afterwards. I'm sure that she would have been very careful to make sure their was no way Angel would have anything to smell on here.

3)In the BtVS episode Witch, how come Willow acts like she hasn't seen Amy in a long time, when they have the same chemistry class?

I didn't take it so much that Willow hadn't seen Amy in a long while, just that they hadn't really spoken for a while.

4)In What's MY Line, how come Kendra couldn't sense Buffy wasn't a vampire?Don't slayers have that special honing skill?

I'm pretty sure that Joss decided that this "power" would be phased out because it made the possibility of the Angel storyline too difficult. After the movie (with the whole vampire cramps deal) it was only briefly mentioned in Welcome to the Hellmouth and even then it wasn't so much a power as an instinct.

Basically it was decided it was a lame idea and brushed under the carpet, hehe.

5)How come nobody ever checked on Cordy when she was loceked up in her room all that time in season 4?I mean it was just a shot in the leg for all everyone knew. She's been through worse.

The whole time during the series that Cordy was up in that room actually only covered a few days, if i remember correctly, during which time she had Connor acting as watchdog asking him to keep the others away. It does seem unlikely that none of them would at least put their heads around the door to ask if she was okay but given how crazy things were at the time i suppose it's possible.

6) Why was the Circle of the Black Thorn never mentioned before Season 5, and why did we never see any of the members, since they were all so very influential?

You could assume that these guys were pretty powerful on the demon scale and therefore considered themselves too important to be dealing with the likes of Angel until he actually became a player at Wolfram & Hart. Only then did he have the connections to find out about them. Before then they would most likely have stayed behind the scenes, pulling the strings.

I think the Slayer-sense (acting like the Spider-sense) was still there in s7... it could just be me... but I think the ability never faded.. did it?!

Not sure i remember any reference to it in season seven but i could be wrong. If you can remember the scene or episode you heard it mentioned in that might help jog my memory a bit. It's been a while since i've watched much of season seven.

Well, I believe it's there but obviously not all slayer can always sense those stuff. There are lots of times when they don't. And maybe Kendra just felt there was something wrong with Buffy since technically there is since Kendra should never be able to meet another slayer.

What bugs me more was that the council never told Giles and Buffy or Kendra and her watcher about the fact that there were two slayers. Surely the council must have known that Buffy was alive.

I don't like to put down an amazing episode, but You're Welcome is the only thing that never made sense to me.

7) How could Cordy have never woken up from her coma in You're Welcome?

She was walking around LA! I could understand (sort of) if just Angel could see her, but clearly she was actually there and not just a figment of his imagination.

And she can't just have been like a ghost or something, she could clearly touch things, hold swords, kiss Angel etc.

Is there any logical explanation to this?

Yep, and you can work it out from watching the Buffy episode "Lessons".

Cordy returned as a manifest spirit. Her astral self (or ghost) was given corporeal form by the PTB so that she was able to do this one last thing for Angel. That was the favour she mentioned that the PTB owed her.

I always thought this was a power the Slayer had but it had to be developed, she had to train it.

Giles: The point is, a Slayer should be able to see them anyway.
Without looking, without thinking. Can you tell me if there's a vampire
in this building?

Buffy: Maybe...

Giles: You should know. Even through this mass and this... din, you
should be able to sense them. Well, try! Reach out with your mind.
(Buffy looks around) You have to hone your senses, focus until the
energy washes over you, until you, you feel every particle o-of...

yup. its not like spidey sense. slayer senses have to be developed.
Yeah but in that scene Buffy eventually identifies the man in the vamp by his bad fashion sense.

Actually, come to think of it, Buffy was wearing those awful sweats in WML. Maybe that's why Kendra thought she was a vamp 😀

This bugs me too, and why didn't they know about Faith before she got there, surely some communication between them would have been good.. But, the good guys aren't know for their communication skills 😉

One thing that never made sense to me was what The Beastmaster (Jasmine) wanted Angelus for. I never could figure that out. The only thing I could figure was so that he would kill some of the others of Angel Investigations and give Jasmine less to worry about.

If you have Angelus then you also have Angel out of the way, which means that the bad guys have one more player and the good guys looses one at the same time.

True. Although it can of course be debated if Jasmine was a "bad guy".. 😉

You're right. In the scene where Wes and Angel go into Cordy's room and Cordy pulls the curtain over the bed before the boys see the body. It's actually her body behind the curtain.

wow! I never realized that.

I guess it does kind of make sense then ^_^

I have a couple more things to add to the list.

1)In the episode The House Always Wins,if Cordy is an all seeing higher being, how is it that she couldn't see that Angel was talking to Gunn and Fred instead of her?

2)In the episode A New World, how is it that Connor is able to beat up Angel,Gunn, and Groo especially since he then asks Angel for fighting lessons?

3)In Tomorrow,Cordy tells Skip that she used her glowy thing as a nightlight because of bad dreams. This kinda doesn't make sense since she had only discovered her powers a night or two before. And also why would she need a nightlight if she has a big strong Groosalaug with her.

4)Also in the same episode, how exactly did Connor find Angel?Even if Angel said where he was going,Connor still doesn't know LA.

5)In Becoming part 2,what got into Willow while she was doing the restoration spell?

6)When did Evil Cordy get a chance to murder the svear priestesses?

That's all for now.If someone can give me a possible answer for these,I'd really appreciate it.I'll post more when I think of them.

we know that holtz was training connor in quor'toth. connor wanted to train with angel so that he could learn his moves and be able to beat him, then trap him in that coffin and send him to the bottom of the sea.

Also in the same episode, how exactly did Connor find Angel?Even if Angel said where he was going,Connor still doesn't know LA.

holtz taught connor how to track things, including holtz himself. it makes sense that he can track vamps too, especailly his father.

as for the clothes in S5...i think they ALL sucked!!
