In January of 2009 my PC went bang as some you may remember me telling you all at the time. I said that I couldn't afford to purchase another, even a second hand machine as, well, I won't go into details, but basically I wasn't able to justify spending even £100.00 on a new machine.
However as time passed, I did manage to post a few times.
Now i find myself at a place where I can post again - although not as often as I was - people and their priorities change.
Anyway, the point of this thread (sorry I've meandered a little getting here) -
I'm still in awe of BB. To think of a fan site with less than 10,000 members going for 10+ years is absolutely amazing to me.
I still remember my 1st time here and the warm welcome I was given, the encouragement to post and the reaction to the posts I created by the membership -
some of whom I notice are still here -- haven't you guys got homes to go to? LOL 😉
some of whom haven't posted in ages (like me) and have either forgotten about BB, have moved onto other things or they can't post at all (ie they've died)
some who have been banned or left because one or more of their friends was banned.
I'm not going to rehash old threads but I did read about some of what occurred before I posted this.
Because the management have came up with new forums to post in, like this one and because you, the gallant readership of the threads within those forums will keep reading and posting, this board will never die (unless The Powers That Be decide to pull the plug one day - God forbid). So I say unto you - God Bless BB and all those who currently reside within her!
