I was watching American History X tonight. And there's the infamous mouth scene. What were the things you saw on TV or on Movies that made you cover your face?

My scene would offcourse the scene from American History X where Derek (skinhead) lets some black guy put his teeth on the curb. We see his teeth touching the curb, then Derek kicks him in the head, breaking his neck.

I saw that movie on MTV, but I didn't remember the name of the movie.

When an animal is gunna get killed or hurt I don't like to watch, LoL. Aside from that, I'll cover my face when I know a killer or something is gunna jump out in a horror movie.

OOhhh yes the curb and the teeth it makes me cringe just thinking about it....
Im the same as Parker.. horror movies are so predictable but still i love em...i always cover my face at the jumpy bits...
Or the other thing is things like maggots i hate em with a passion i just cant look at them or i physically throw up especially when there wriggling around in food or a dead animal *throws up* and yet people always insist on putting them in movies...

Disgusting bug scenes like in the first Candyman movie in the bee scene... euchh... Also, this one scene in Species when the extraterrestrial is crawling out of that woman's stomach *ready to barf*.

Snakes and also bloody medical scenes as shown in the likes of Holby City or Nip/Tuck are my phobias. I haven't seen American History X yet but I reckon the scene you describe would also make me cringe a bit.

Oh, I totally remember that part from American History X. I couldn't watch either! Also, anytime someone's neck gets slit, I hate that.

I hide my face when horses get hurt in films, poor horses, LOL.

Lol @ Magui.

Any remember the scene from Nip/Tuck where Matt tries to circumsize himself... oh, god, I reall really didn't dare to watch. And my piece shrunk too!

Anything with clowns, I also can't watch the RSPC ads on tv where you see animals get abused and hear their stories, within a second i'm in tears just can't do it.

There is also been a couple of instances on CSI the way they go inside the wounds.

The scene in Hollowman where Kevin Bacon kills the dog.

The scene in The Ring where the horse gets killed on the ferry.

The scene in Equilibrium where they shoot the dogs.

The scene in American Psycho where he kills the dog and the homeless man.

As you can see, mostly to do with animals! Any scene where an animal gets hurt bothers me.

Oh and the scene in Swingers where Vince Vaughn's character is making fun of the pizza guy. That just made me cry.

I'm the same with the animals...the one thing that got me was in Fear, where Mark's character puts the dogs head through the dog door....scarred me for life that did.

The scene in The Cell where Vincent D'Onofrio is slowly pulling intestines out of (somebody's...maybe JLo's, I can't remember) stomach and wrapping them around a cyllander like he was coiling a garden hose. I've got a pretty high tolerance for "ick", but that one gave me the heebie-jeebies!

That scene freaked me out too!!! I swear I won't re-watch alot of good movies because of scenes like that!!!! I just can't handle it.

I want to see The Butterfly Effect but someone told me about some really rough animal scenes at the beginning. So I'm shying away from it now.

anything with hurting animals will make me cover my face...even the RSPCA adverts get me all sad..lol,but Spuffy scenes like the one in Smashed make me cover my face too.

Alot of the surgery in Nip/Tuck (and other surgery shows) makes me hide behind my hand (watch the corner so I know when its over). The self-circumsision(sp?) didn't make me cringe, as you didn't see anything.

Well, maybe we didn't get to see anything, but it sure felt like he was going to do it to me :S

God, any movie a horse gets killed in I hate...even if the rest of it was good. I absolutley refuse to watch The Ring just because of the scene the horse gets killed in. I have a horse, and I hate to see horses get killed, even if it's fake.

Oh, and I am scared to death of clowns...just thinking about them makes me want to run and hide....I can't stand to see clowns...

Like many of you, I cover my eyes during parts which show animals getting hurt. I cannot stand to watch animals or children in pain. Movies are usually pretty good about not showing children getting killed but it does happen on occassion.

I cover my eyes during scary parts in movies all the time. There are so many-if it is an icky scene/scary scene I usually bury my head in my hands, my shirt of somebody's shoulder! Then I get anxious and peek and then I bury my face again! (except then I have a memory of the glimpse of gore just seen...I will never learn)

Whenever an animal gets hurt, I cover my face.
And I remember in Silence of the Lambs where they take that moth thing out of the guys mouth *shudders*

I also cover my face when my mom starts dancing in a shop lol!
