In my attempts to keep from slipping into a depressive state (which is never good), I started to think about things that make me laugh and I decided to share... also I want to hear things that make others laugh because laughter really is the best medicine, isn't it?
Thing number 1: A couple years ago, a friend and I were having lunch at Starbucks and this guy and his friend walked in... except it was a bit more complicated than that. See the one guy walked in and dropped the door and his friend, who had stopped and turned to look at something, didn't realize it and straight up walked into the closed door. And that sounds a lot less funny than it was... it was the perfect walking into a door. He looked up just as he was at the door, realized he was going to hit the door like a SECOND before, hit it, backed up a couple paces, put his hand on his nose, looked down, looked up and around, opened the door and walked through. And his friend was completely oblivious to what had just happened... He just kept walking, got to the line, and stopped. And it seemed my friend and I were the only ones who saw because no one else was laughing, but we could't contain ourselves.
Thing number 2: This is something my friends don't get, but I think about it and EVERY time it makes me laugh my butt off. My friend had a Video Now. I was messing with it, but the batteries were dead so it wouldn't turn on... so I was really just opening and closing it. Video Now's open with quite a bit of force so I decided to see what would happen if I put my phone beside it on the bed and then pressed the button to open it with the door facing towards my phone... AND I PUSHED MY PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! To be honest, I'm not quite sure why it's so funny to me, but it is.
Thing number 3: when people get hit in the face. Like I was watching Normal Again earlier today and when Buffy hit Xander with the frying pan... I lose it. I know it's not supposed to be a funny moment but she just hits him in the face with a frying pan. And the sound effect they use is priceless.
