Things to do before you die

This list is constantly changing and growing; but here are a few that always seems to stay on it.

- Go on another safari. Preferably at Kruger National Park (South Africa) or Hwange National Park (Zimbabwe)

- Learn to speak another language fluently. Preferably French, Italian or German.

-Move to Washington DC. Hopefully this happens soon.

- Set foot on each of the seven continents. (3 down, 4 to go!)

- A cross country tour of New Zealand on bike.

-Attend the Olympics.

-Run a marathon. (Ok, a half marathon will do 🙂 )

prophecygrrl agrees: even Antartica??
Yes! I think it would be awesome to see 😀

zobothehobo agrees: Where in NC? The mountains?

Anywhere. All of it.

I really love being by water so the coast would probably be my preference, but I would happily spend time exploring the mountains and forests. And also, some of the countryside. The Notebook boat scene may have played a factor in this 😛 (sw) As well as some James Taylor YouTube vids 😀

zobothehobo agrees: I love hearing people talk like this about my state! But be warned, the central part of the state is really not all that special. The mountains and the coast are beautiful. IMO though, the mountains are more beautiful

I get the same kick out of people talking about Ireland too 🙂

BTW, here's one of the vids I was talking bout. I'm assuming all the images are of NC.

That video is like 90% of the mountains and it makes me wish Appalachian had a better theater program than UNC-G so I could go there like I had planned to. *sigh* I want to go to the mountains now.

Is anyone else thinking of this thread a little more seriously now since Christopher...? Or is it just me?
I don't... I basically still think that I'd be content and at peace with it if it had been my name up there as the shocking news instead of his. (Not to sound pretentious, but I really guess there's quite a bunch of people who'd take the thought of me dying much more seriously than I'd take it myself. Been quite a ride, and when it's over, well, it's over.)

1. Get into a great university
2. Backpack across Europe with my BFF
3. Have a job that I love and I'm good at
4. Fall in love
5. Find a purpose
6. Stay true to myself
7. Have a chance to tell my mom and friends how much they mean to me

P.S. I'm sorry you all for your loss. I know what it is to lose someone close to me

oooh bucket list! Here's mine:

- travel OZ and NZ. I have met (and lived with) fantastic people from both countries and the nature of both countries makes me breathless. Also, gorgeous accent. Always a plus.

- have kids. I've reached the stage where I say that I'm gonna get started in 5 years, whether I'm in a relationship or not.

- learn Swedish & read everything Astrid Lindgren ever wrote in the original

- learn how to pronounce Irish (I don't think I have a chance of ever speaking it, so here's me being realistic)

- read Ulysses & Finnegan's Wake

- have a part in finding & publishing the next Harry Potter

- meet Stephen Fry, JK Rowling and/or Marian Keyes

- live in Ireland

- never settle for second best.

Pahahahaha! Yup. I'm totally using you for your Hiberno obsession! :p
JJ, can you elaborate on this? I find it a little strange.

By rereading my post, I can see where you found the strange part...

Carson is my best friend's boyfriend and I tend to treat people like that like a sister, but since my friend broke up with Carson, I can ignore it 8D
