Hi, I'm new to this forum, but I've been lurking for a little while. Before I start, I guess I should say that I when I mentioned this to a friend, he was a bit annoyed 'cause he couldn't explain it, so if you get annoyed by the un-explainable, maybe you shouldn't read this! What can I say? I like to know how things work!
Sorry if someone has already asked this, but I have to know what you guys think.

Ok, so we all know that the whole Connor thing changed the Angel Investigations team's world dramatically. Which makes me wonder... Now that Connor effectively doesn't exist and going by Fred's "Who's Connor?" never did exist in the group's mind, what does that mean for the gang?
If Connor was never part of their lives, how will Wesley's alienation from the group and his scar be explained, or is that wiped from memory too? Because of the Wesley taking Connor storyline, Wesley slept with Lilah. Without Connor, did this happen and if so, why? And did Angel spend the summer at the bottom of the ocean? Did Lorne leave (based on the fact he was scared of Connor)? And what about Cordy and Jasmine? Yes, Cordy would most likely have been evil without Connor, but who was Jasmine's father, if Jasmine ever existed? Would Angel have been the father?

Connor's very existence generated a lot of storylines (his abduction, Wes/Lilah, Connor/Cordy, Jasmine and the world domination to name but a few). And there are probably many little things that can be traced back to Connor. Like Holtz and Sahjhan, are their demises different in the gang's memory, if they know of them at all?

Sorry for the long post, but this is something that interests me. Like I said, friend and I discussed it and we were really curious as to how everything would be explained. But we really didn't come up with decent explanations, so what do you guys think? Any ideas? Love to hear 'em!

well who knows they were probably given some false memories inplace of Connor to explain for somethings but they will probably work through it during next season

Like Primal SLayer said, perhaps with the spell to make Connor separate and forgotten, it changed and created memories in the gang's brains, sans Angel, who does remember. Liek what the monks did when they created Dawn. It was really never explained how all of their stories changed becasue of Dawn's existence.

I've heard rumblings here and elsewhere that Angel is gonna be refocussed this year. Maybe by shedding the baggage that was Connor/Cordy the writers can concentrate on getting Angel back on his track to redeeming himself and helping the helpless. With the resources of Wolfram and Hart at their disposal, the gang will be able to do more, but (no spoiler, just a prediction) there are going to be a few boobytraps in the takeover of W&H by Angel Investigations. Not the least of which will be the corruption of that type of power...a familiar struggle in the Buffyverse...as for the memories, etc., all will be explained-or not, depending how forthcoming Joss and co. are.

little william is right think of "i will remember you" time was set back to prevent something from happening this can be the same only on a bigger scale a larger time frame this allows for different reasons to be what created these events just because they dont show us the new reasons dosnt mean they are not there all it means is they cant reshoot that much of the series the more important things can be explained in season 5
