okay, this is going to sound really stupid so im sorry.
but my friend katie has cancer. she's in my class and we found out a bought a month ago. she won't be back at school until year ten, which is sad because she's always smiling. but im catholic, and i stupidly want people to pray for her, (don't laugh.)
i don't care if your catholic, jewish, a wiccan or buddist, whatever. can everyone just at least hope she is okay?

Not at all hunni its not stupid. The majority of people on the board have dealt with cancer in one way or another so we all know how hard it must be. I'm not religious but send my best wishes anyway 🙂 Its awful for anyone to get cancer especially a such a young age but theres good treatments, I'm sure she'll be fine xxxx
 
That's so sad!!!🙁 I'm definately going to hope she will be okay!! So, don't worry! She'll be fine!😉

It must be hard to know that your friend could leave at any moment. I'm not a religious person; I'm an atheist. But I am going to pray with the belief that there might be a higher power out there that can help your friend. I will always hope that she will be okay in the end.
 
The positive thing is that the doctor found it early enough that treatment can be done. Do you know what kind of cancer it is?
 
I'm sorry about your friend Cordy. I'm here for support, PM me, IM me, email me, whatever. If I'm not on, I'll give you my boyfriend and friend Cassi's emails and they'll call me and tell me to get my butt on for you ok? I hope your friend gets better soon, I'll be praying even though I'm not exackly religious 🙂

This thread is not stupid at all. Of course I'll pray for her. If you ever need to talk about it, feel free to contact me. I've been through something similar to this-- my dad has just gotten over colon cancer. He's doing much better. I wish the best for your friend!

I pray for your friend with cancer, may she enjoy the life she has left.

thanks. im not sure, something in her throat. oh it was so cool. we were in r.e (our re teacher is our form teacher) and she came in! ands miss knew but she didn't tell us katie was coming. so katie came, and miss said forget about work this lesson. it was really good to see her.

Not only is this thread not stupid but I'm touched that you are able to share your feelings with everyone and ask for prayer. I hope your friend gets better soon. The medical community has come a long way in curing cancer now a days so be positive, I'm sure everything will work out.

On a personal note I've had cancer in a part of my neck and survived it. If you ever have any questions or want to talk please feel free to PM me.
