Everyone that worked for Angel Investigations ended up dead in canon, sometimes more than once
Doyle - dead in S1
Cordelia - dead in S5
Fred - dead in S5 (resurrected in comics)
Wesley - dead in S5
Gunn - dying at the end of S5, confirmed dead in comics, then time is reversed
Lorne - dead from cancer in the comics

Can't fire Cordy, she's vision-girl. Firing Fred would probably save her life and stop her getting hollowed out and consumed by an Old One. So, bye Fred!

Faith - easy. She's much cooler. Plus Kendra got taken out far too easily so i would have less trust in her watching my back.

Giles. Giles is like everything Wesley is but way sooner and also way better. Also less likely to brandish that sick arm blade against me for upsetting him.

Mr. Pointy; fits the sub-genre. Chainsaws are more Evil Dead.
