This Year's Girl- Faith is back!

I thought we had a thread for this episode, but I couldn't find it, so thought I'd start a new one. So fantastic, and I know it's only going to get better in Who Are You. I loved the symbolism of Faith pulling herself out of the grave/coming out of the coma, her dreams of the mayor, and awesome fight scenes! I guess Adam's going to have to wait a few episodes, which I am perfectly fine with. More Faith is a good thing!

Tara's line said what everyone has been wanting to say: ""Five by five? Five what by five what?". To which Willow replies "See, that's the thing. No one knows." And yes, I know what 5x5 means, I just think it's hilarious. I think this is where I start to love Tara.

I'm so glad she woke up, but I kinda hoped she'd be good again, which I was disappointed. 😛 But the episode is very good. Faith looks so lost. I really like the scene with The Mayor. And the little Tillow scene is cute. I especially love how Buffy still hopes if Faith might be lost or guilty or terrified. How nice! 😀

Haha, that is a great exchange between Willow and Tara about the 5 x 5 quote! Actually throughout the entire Faith arc they're awesome!

I love that moment where Buffy and Willow are talking about her and they turn around and Faith says 'but you're not me.' or something like that. Very cool, and definitely unexpected on the first watch.

I loved Faiths appearances in S4 mainly because I love Faith! But Im glad she came back the way she did and that she wasnt suddenly good again!

Lol. When I first heard Faith say 5 by 5 I was wondering the same thing. I figured it out over time. I guess you could say this was one of my slow moments.

Its a radio term that basically means loud and clear.

So in terms of Faith it means everything's fine. (or however Faith perceives "fine".)

I'm glad she didn't come back "good" too. The eps with her on seasons 1 and 4 of Angel are so awesome! I can't believe we'll go an entire 2 more seasons without seeing her! I wonder why Joss didn't do that spin-off he had talked about doing.

I always thought 5 by 5 meant 5 out of 5, meaning perfect.... oh.

And I adore the quote:
Faith: "You took my life, B. Payback's a bitch".
Willow: "Look who's talking".

I also made a banner with this scene and quote, it's just so clever!
And not only Faith wasn't back to being a good girl (was she ever?), she's even badder. And ready for payback. And I'm asking, what did Buffy do that made Faith hate her so much? What, because Buffy had it all in life and Faith didn't? Buffy was really rooting for her at the beginning (though not right from the beginning), then Faith flips. And I mean even before Buffy stabs her. Faith hated Buffy, and I never really understood why.
