'Those Minor Characters'

Throughout the course of Buffy and Angel, you *must've* had some minor character who left a lasting impression on you. (And by minor, I mean those characters who appeared in one or two eps)

The characters that really caught my attention were:

- Halfrek (ok, so she *could* be considered as recurring, but ya gotta love her!)
- Sunday (Vampire from The Freshman)
- April (Robo-Bot from I Was Made to Love You)
- Nancy (Xander's 'quick' intrest in Beneath You)
- Gwen (that crazy W&H files and records gal, from...some...episode of Angel)
- The other Gwen (sexy electro-gal, first appearing in Ground State)

There are others, but my fingers hurt from typing...so...blergh...

But who are some of yours?

Yea... I was actually confused by some of it... I thought that Nancy would have stuck around... Maybe helped Xander get over the whole Anya thing...(not that I wanted him to, it would have just added a twist) Idk... But yea, thats about the only one... I wasnt a big fan of Halfrek... She was okay, and sometimes funny... But thats about it...

Gwen Raiden was definitely my favorite when it comes to those "smaller" characters. Well, I really liked Cassie as well, but that's probably mostly because Azura Skye played her..

 

[Anchovy]

Gwen Raiden, Gwen Raiden, Gwen Raiden. Love her. And I enjoyed Jonathan, back when he was just "You, by the dip", Halfrek made me laugh, especially in "Older and Far Away". But one minor character that bugged the crap out of me? Hated Sam. Riley's wife, Sam. The writer (too lazy to look up the ep and see who wrote it, sorry!) was soooo determined to make her nice, make Buffy and the audience like her, that I liked her way less. She just wasn't very interesting. Riley was good enough on his own at establishing that "there's no bad guy here", and yes I realize I just quoted her 😉, but she was just so annoying. So the ones I like are Gwen Raiden, early Jonathon, the Anoited One and Willie. I love Willie!

Well, I really liked Cassie as well, but that's probably mostly because Azura Skye played her..

Same here, it was a really good character, and it always sticks more if they are played by someone you like.

 

[Cookie Dough]

I loved Cassie the most. The girl who played her is really talented. I also liked April even though she was a robot. I just felt bad for her. She had feelings but she was being used and I also liked the metaphor she stood for which was that Buffy shouldn't change for a guy.

Yea... I can't believe I forgot Cassie (I dont watch season 7 that much)... But she is definately my favorite minor. I loved it when they brought her back as the First... Azura Skye is awesome! Love her to death... 🙂

 

[Xin Rong]

I really loved Gwen and Cassie, I also liked some extremely minor characters, e.g. the psychic who tells lorne he needs to go to pylea, the girl with a really good voice who's also lornes friend and who got infected by a demon in the episode where connor goes to Quor'toth, orther than that I can't really think of any, oh wait Groo was kind of minor and i loved him!!!

Mine's definately Sunday. I really wanted her to be in more than just the first Season 4 episode. She was sarcastic and memorable. I think she should have been Buffy's rival for at least a couple of episodes 🙂

It's gotta be the BuffyBot.
I also liked Vi a lot and Molly.
I liked Amy a lot in the beginning too, not Season 6 Amy though...
David Nabbit was pretty funny in Angel. It would have been cool to see Cordy use him as a sugar daddy 🙂
And Gunn's sister, name isn't coming to me right now, but I liked her.

I really liked Cassie. I think it was a very well done character. She was there for so short time, but still it feels like I know her, and at the same time she's so mysterious.

Ive missed so many people out! lol!

- I loved Cassie too! - The whole mean cousins who are gonna be fat speech was just brill!
- BuffyBot - cant believe I forgot her out, she was just *SO* funny!
- Ethan - I thought he was funny too 😛 Specially in Gingerbread...
- Chloe - The potential who hung herself in Get It Done...

 

[JollyApe]

The Pee Pee Demon from Life of the Party, You're Welcome and Power Play. He was so creepy and so much fun. His icky in Life of the Party made me laugh so hard.
