What are your guys thoughts on the Buffyverse fan fiction? My favorites are the Xander / Angel, Angel / Spike and Xander / Spike

huge fans of those fics.

I just found out what fan fiction was the other day for the first time. I haven't read any yet but I found a Kendra one I'm going to read soon.

I like to write fan fiction from time to time as a sort of creative release, but I don't often read the works of others, unless they come highly recommended.

When I write fan fiction, I don't really stick to the confines of the Buffyverse. I kind of mash a whole bunch of different things together. Growing up I always loved DC Comics' Teen Titans, and the main fan fiction I write has Buffy as a part of that team and an EXTREMELY brave and good-looking guy named Garth as Robin and her love interest 😱

Yeah, I kind of roll a number of "verses" into one big one.

I read some fan fiction, mostly Spuffy. I've read some incredibly well-written stories. Right now I'm reading Embers by coalitiongirl. It's really good.

Coalitiongirl is great.
Isn't RPG stuff similar to fan fiction? I always wanted to do a fun RPG but never did.

Somewhat. I RP with other people, and it's fun. It's basically a fanfic with two writers or more at the helm of it.

Personally, I love fanfic, reading and writing both. I started writing, but didn't really start getting into reading other people's stuff until fairly recently. I try to give everything a chance, and once in a while, a really good piece will catch my eyes.

Favorite ships in Fanfic?: Willow/Tara (Obviously! 😛 ), Dawn/Connor, Buffy/Angel, Spike/Faith, and Doyle/Cordelia

I think fan-fiction is one of the best expressions of fandom there is. Some of the best writing I've ever read has been Buffyverse fic. I mostly read B/A but if I trust the writer I'll give anything a shot, I can't think of a combo I haven't read.

I used to read a lot of fanfiction, not so much anymore but the pairing wouldn't matter so much it would be whichever story caught my eye

I've written quite a bit of it. Not dozens of fics, like some people have, but... I just checked and I've written 19 Buffyverse stories, ranging from 1 to 7 chapters. And 28 more stories for other fandoms for a total of 47. Wow, I didn't realize I'd written that many.

I like to write it more than read it, but there are a few good ones out there. You just have to identify the good writers and focus on their stuff... and the stuff they recommend, which will also tend to be good. There's a lot of really bad fanfic out there, but in my opinion writing is never a bad thing. I never insult another person's writing or offer criticism unless it's asked for.

I just finished another story yesterday (not a Buffy one) for a fanfic writing contest, so I'm still at it.

I love a really well written Buffy verse fan fic! I think it can help so much with filling in blanks and with character development. I esp love AR stories where the characters seem to stay pure to who they are even when the choices they make and the paths they take are so different from on the show.

My Buffy fan fiction

I write Buffy fan fiction, it mainly focuses about my own Buffy character in the Buffyverse and him interacting with the Buffy and Angel characters.
I've yet to post it on the internet but I keep coming up with new ideas.
