Thoughts on Tru Calling?

he he he, tell me more ??? I'm curious to know, who is this guy ? Does he work with her ?
& if u sense it, I'm sure sommink is gonna to happen ! lol jk, I have no idea
 
very very good show. ive seen every episode so far. Putting Out Fires is an especially good episode, but everyone of them has been great.

well, the two work together, but Tru's "in love" with another guy at the morge, but it seems that Davis likes her, he's always giving her compliments and the way he looks at her and in the past couple of eps
she told him that she can travel back into time and saves people, but only when they ask her "help me" and the last ep Davis was helping her figure out who was the murderer and she said something like thanks for helping me, I've never had anyone help me before and Davis says something like Anytime and I've never helped save anyone before....
just the way they talk to eachother they seem like they like eachother

Tru Calling is awesome...its my new favorite show! The last episode was awesome, and so were all of the other episodes...its keeps you hooked the whole time! This show is just gettin better n better! i cant wait til Jan 8th for the new episode! Eliza Dushku gots tha best actin skillz ever! i just love watchin her have her OWN show!

slayerangel--i disagree with you when you said you dont see people watching it for a whole season...well i know many people that have been enjoying it from the first ep to the latest one, i really think the show will make it through 1 season for sure...and hopefully many seasons after that🙂 Also Tru's character is awesome...so what if she hasnt done something so synister or evil yet...give it time...there has only been about 6 eps, you cant expect everything to just show up...you gotta give it time!

Did you guys know that on the last Episode (12/18/03) Eliza Dushkus brother "Nate Dushku" was in it? He was the really drunk guy that came up to her and hugged her and said "hey hows it goin tru" and shes like "who was that guy" if you wanna see a upclose and personal pic of Nate Dushku look here ... http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/elizadushku/83.jpg WOW i guess the whole dushku family is good looking🙂

Rayne --you got great taste, tha show is truly awesome! Davis is soooo hilarious!!!! I agree with you on that...on yesterdays ep he Tru was like "and then i woke up and my ex was dead on my bed" and then david replys with "So let me get this straight...you had a party, and didnt invite me?" hahaha i was laughing for hours, that was sooo dang funny! especially the way he said it!

WOW, i think you guys are confused...i think davis may have feelings for Tru, but i also think that he knows he cant really be with her, so i think he is looking at her more as a really good friend. i think that Tru sees David as a father figure...or as a really good friend but definetly NOT as a lover! hes too old for a 22 yr old hottie anyways lol.

My love goes out to all you Tru Calling fans who know a great show when they see one!

Tru Calling is one my current most favorite shows. It's truly a great show!- and it has Eliza which is even better. 😀
 
I still agree with SlayerAngel's first post. I am not all that into this show. Tru Calling just does not seem like it will stay interesting. I am watching it now, but I am not really taking a liking to any of the characters, not even Tru (even though I liked Faith in Buffy). I also hate the theme song with a fiery passion. I have to like the theme song if I am going to like a show. I also hate the flashback thing. It is annoying because it shows all of the little details that one needs to remember from the first half to foresee solutions to problems in the second. It kind of takes the fun and suspense out of it. It is not like we cannot remember what happened in the first half.

Also, I loved Early Edition. It was one of my favorite shows. Tru Calling is definitely a similar show, but I just don't enjoy it as much. I just do not get a sense of personality from them. The writers try to make the characters interesting by giving them little problems, (the brother's gambling, the sister's drugs, and the murder of Tru's mother) but they are so lifeless and flat that I cannot really make a connection with them as I could with Buffy or Willow or Gary.
 
i love the theme song! its awesome! i think that they do the flashback thing because some people may come watch the show late, and it gives them a idea of what they missed.

EARLY EDITION! thats what it was called. i was going insane trying to figure it out.

I think Tru Calling is interesting. I like how you see the day and then she goes back, because it also allows the viewer to think about it, and try to figure out the problem themselves.
 
Did you ever watch Early Edition? I am trying to find out if it was ever popular, since I am just now getting to watch it on reruns.
 
i have watched all the eps except for the first one🙁 i missed it. but i can say that it is totally awesome! i love the show and it has the potential to be great. would i watch it if eliza wasnt in it? well thats hard to say cuz elizas a great actress and brings the stories to life, i guess it would depend on who would play the part as Tru. But i gotta say the show wouldnt be as great without eliza! shes awesome!
 
I have also seen every episode but one. I missed the one after Tru's boss (the geeky one, I forget his name) tells her that he knows her secret. It seemed like the next episode would be an important one and I like that guy. Maybe I would like the show better if I knew what happened. Can anyone tell me?
 
You missed "StarCrossed" i believe. It was where David actually helped Tru figure out why the two kids died. They are kinda like a team now, thats how i like it🙂 they make a great team together, if you want really detailed RandyGiles PM me🙂
 
Thanks, but I think that is enough of a summary for me. I hope I will eventually get to see a rerun of the show. I like that the two are working together now. David is probably my favorite character so far and I think I will like the show more now that he is playing a more significant role.
 
Gosh, I've seen some pics from the show, who the hell is the blonde woman ? I already saw here somewhere but I can't remember where ? I remember I disliked her so much, I guess she had a bad part. Btw, I still dislike her face, lol
 
I think you are talking about Tru's drug-addict sister, who is played by Jessica Collins. I know what you mean about her being vaguely familiar in an annoying sort of way, but I have looked at her filmography at TV Tome and I am not seeing anything I can remember her from.
