Anyway, im done defending a simple 1 line comment. I've done my part to try and get the board moving again, all I do is butt heads with people who take a post (similar to this) and view it as a personal attack, and we start all over again. As far as I can tell, everyone seems pretty chill on the actual boards.

Sorry, you were the one who brought it up...

But just an observation, if "all you do" is "butt heads with people" who think you're personally attacking them, then maybe there's something to it?

Silum agrees: Its not a big deal 🙂 ..The suddeness to members who truly wondered what they had done and their subsequent lack of given respect in line with being a legitimate member is the reason this thread is so large.

Other than to EB, who I have subsequently apologized to, in what part of this thread have I not shown respect to someone?

Btw, my "childish" comment was more directed toward members who made up a "group" just for people who disliked a specific member. Like being in middle school again...

It came after your apology...the reason for i'd say, 50% of the angry posts in this thread (which LG was refering to) exist stemmed from your arrogance in admitting you could ever have been wrong in hurting peoples feelings or admitting that afterall, banning 30 people without specific reasons might actually send them into fits of rage over making them passive. People got angry over the situation, THEN, they got angry over you.

As for me bring it up..

Buffy Summers- There's nothing wrong with giving negative karma.
Silum(negative karma)- For the obvious reasion that you are stirring the pot at this stage in the discussion ...instead of recognising the issue at hand. 30 members, on 'each side of the issue' were not acting like children.

You interpreted wrongly in thinking I was bullying (think what you like, you're still wrong on my intentions or the way most people who understand the phrase stirring the pot would read that). I brought it up because your two statements are hypocritical. People are free to disagree, I disagreed, you make a comment about how I'm not even allowing her to speak because I disagreed with her opinion! It ludicrous to me.

I butt heads with people who make comments I disagree with. Yes there is something to it, a lot of people make comments that are different to my own...you realise were on a discussion forum right? The difference is, some are civilised, and some tend to go down the path this one is headed where you resort to sarcastically questioning my character, well, you know where you can shove it.

Bullying is still bullying whether you intended it or not. People here think they can find me "guilty" for people feeling punished whether I intended it or not.

I actually never questioned your character. I just pointed out that if lots of people find your comments attacking, that maybe your comments are in fact attacking. Just something to think about.

A little bit on topic: I understand both sides of the story, but going over it and over it again isn't going to solve anything. Why can't everyone go away from this having learnt something (on both sides) so that nothing like this happens again, rather than just making this drag on?

For what it is worth, what with Buffy and others having apologized, I apologize for some of the nastier things said in some of the karma comments. I was angry about it to begin with, add having just come home from the bar and a comment toward EB that seemed unnecessary and things were said. I'm still not sure this whole thing was really to the benefit of the board because it seems to have worked people up a lot more beyond how things were before, but that doesn't excuse the nastier, unnecessary things that I said or that others said.

The conversation I had with Buffy has lead to me apologising to the people I feel I have wronged (not all, but thats not the issue) and drawing a line under recent behaviour and starting a fresh.

I see that as positive for the board.

Look, it doesn't matter how we got here, we are at this point now.
We can discuss and discuss until the Internet explodes (which won't be too long - I'ma type Google into Google and see what happens) or we can just move on.
