See, to me, Willow and Tara were always meant to be in love. They are even more perfect for each other than Oz and Willow were in my opinion. Though, don't get my wrong, I am a HUGE Oz and Willow fan but...look at Tara and Will. They just both make each other stronger every single minute. Just like Oz brought Willow into herself, Willow did that with Tara. It's so sweet to see Willow take the dominent part of the relationship.
I haven't met very many Killow's because most people think Kennedy is horrid. They have good reason to. It hurts to think that Willow would go out with somebody A) that horrible and B) so soon after Tara's death. Sure, she needed someone to get over Tara with but couldn't it be someone a little eaiser to digest?

You know what upsets me the most? I finally got around to reading the Willow one shot and it so upset me!!!
I really seriously want Tara to come back in s9. She just has to! She's Willow's one true love!
Why oh why did Willow not choose Tara to be her guide? There love could have continued!!! Also, Seeing Kennedy in it makes me want to punch her so freaking bad!

Killow is such an appropriate abbreviation. After al, was Willow's character not killed by this relationship?
Tillow is the single most truest love in the Buffyverse. It wasn't just cheap lesbianism for all the horny boys. It was romantic, deep, believable.
What's more, unlike practically every other relationship on the show, you could see it working. Tara and Willow had some drama sure but the love outweighed it and it was all too easy to see them growing old and happy together.
Then bang. Whedon decided "no, F you" and killed Tara.
A slap on the face is not complete without insult. Kennedy is said insult.
Tillow had all the hallmarks of true soulmates. It's why so mahy fans didn't even think Willow had truly turned gay. Rather, she had found the person she loved from the bottom of her heart. It is Tara's soul she loved and had it occupied a boy, Willow would have loved that boy just as much.
But forget that noise. Kennedy storms in, out and proud. Not anything wrong with that but there is such a thing as stereotyping and I'm rather shocked that the uber-feminist Joss Whedon perpetrated such a bad stereotype. Remember how I noted Tillow was sweet and romantic and not just for horny boys who want some girl-on-girl? Forget that as soon as Kennedy gets involved.
Yes, I've heard it was fully intended for Kennedy to be the anti-Tara. Whereas Tara was soft, gentle, almost shy, Kennedy was forward from the start. But guess what? Tara was a good character. So what does that make Kennedy, the opposite of Tara?
If you said bad character, you get a cookie.
I'm also going to steal a bit from my rantings on the Potentials kicking Buffy out of her house. Kennedy was determined to be awful in every respect so naturally she had a part in this.
(to Willow) "Why are you always standing up for [Buffy]?"
Um...does anyone else have to laugh at the idiocy that is Kennedy here? Why does Willow stand up for Buffy? Hm. i dunno. Maybe it's because Buffy has been her closest friends for over half-a-decade, saved her life, saved the lives of her friends, saved the world and well... Is that good enough reason to stand up for Buffy yet?
My grandmother told me a really nice expression when I was younger. "Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."
Kennedy seems to embody this. It's not bad to speak your mind but when you have no mind and only stupidity comes from your lips, you really should be silent.
I suppose this has all come off as rather rabid and venomous.... Odd how love breeds the most ferocity. My love for Tillow has made me hate Killow so.

Okay. I want to start by saying that while I love love love Kennedy and if she was real, she'd be the girl I would be totally crushing head-over-heels on (actually she's fiction and I am anyway... XD), I prefer Tillow (barely). However, I do like Killow, and I'm going to sort of play the devil's advocate here.
While Tara and Willow is a beautiful thing, there are a few reasons I find Kennedy and Willow better.
1. Some people are attracted to take-charge, aka, bossy. While Willow is completely kick-butt, you have to remember that she's not always the one who's going to step up and take charge. In her relationship with Tara, the two were truly partners because of this, they were content with following and helping the rest of the scoobies, but sometimes they would each have their leader moments.
Kennedy, on the other hand, was a leader all the time. If you could put your personal feelings for her aside, you know she'd be the girl you'd turn to if you needed someone to get things done. She is totally bossy- and with this bossy comes an amazing confidence, someone you want to turn to because they seem like they always know what to do.
2. The pure imperfection of it. Has anyone else remembered that opposites attract? Tara and Willow are both witches, they are both very sweet and helpful, they are both into the same things, smile at the same things, love the same things. They are familiar territory.
Kennedy and Willow are so different. They are exotic to each other. Willow, to Kennedy, is a girl with inner darkness (and we see Kennedy romanticize this darkness throughout her relationship with Willow, making it almost into what Bella sees in Edward, if you know what I mean). She sees a sweetness and a strength. Willow sees in Kennedy confidence, bravery, and that sexy bossiness again. She is fascinated with Kennedy, and that's why the two will never get bored with each other.
3. This kind of goes back to number one, but Killow gives Will the chance to play the more traditional "woman" role (I feel like I'm labeling here, but I don't know how else to say it). In Tillow, Willow is very slightly dominant it seems. While they seem to be partners, little things suggest that Willow is in the higher position. I'm currently thinking of one of my personal favorite lines:
"I am, you know?"
"What?"
"Yours."
That is when I feel not only a lot of tingles, cause that's totally cute, but also I feel like that establishes Willow's position as the stronger one. It also reinforces my point- sometimes it feels nice to "belong" to someone.
Kennedy takes charge immediately, first being the one to pursue the relationship, and then being the one to take charge of it. This doesn't mean she treats Willow as an inferior- it means she gives Willow a chance to be "little" again. I don't think anyone can say that there has never been a time when they haven't wanted to be taken care of like they were when they were little again. I believe that's what Willow felt- she needed comfort from her relationship with Tara. Kennedy allowed her to be a child again, Kennedy took care of her and held her, comforted her.
4. Physical attraction. I think Tara is GORGEOUS. But Kennedy may be more of Willow's type (she is pretty darn hot...). Even if not physically- Willow could totally prefer blondes, but she could love how Kennedy laughs, or the way she turns around, all sorts of little things.
Okay, there's my long, rambling case for Killow so you guys have something to argue with now... 🙂

Tillow all of the way! I feel that Tara and Willow were ment to be soul mates. It seems like they were in love ever sence they first met. I also think that Kenndy was Willows rebound and Willow was just with her to feel close to someone.
Hmmm. I honestly think I could have liked Killow if it wasn't for the timing. I mean, Tillow is still gonna be my favourite of the pair, but I think I would have liked Killow better if there'd perhaps been more Buffy series' and they expanded on the whole Killow storyline. Like, as many people have previously said, making it take time for Willow to get over the death of Tara and form more of a bond with Kennedy. As it happens, it just felt all too rushed for me to feel happy with it. (And I could have been happy with both. I ship both Willow/Oz and Willow/Tara, 'cause I can't decide between the two! I have no qualms with adding Killow to the mix 😛 ) But so soon after Tara's death? Don't get me wrong, I think they handled Willow's issues with Tara's death and meeting Kennedy beautifully in the episode The Killer In Me, but apart from that I didn't really see any depth to it. Far, FAR too fast for my tastes. I can't imagine Willow would have been anywhere near even considering dating so soon after Tara. It just does not compute in my head. I mean, when Tara died Will almost ended the world. If that dosen't suggest she's gonna have some major things to work through before moving on, then I don't know what does.
So basically I have nothing against Kennedy and I think Killow could have worked, but I think they (as in those behind the scenes) just went about it all wrong. So my vote is for Tillow 🙂

I hated Killow but I don't think enough time was given to it or Kennedy's character- it being the last season we never really got to see how her character develop (whether they do that in S8 I don't know). I think if we got to see another side to Kennedy than the bossy precocious front she puts on, she may not be quite as hated.

I don't care for Kennedy in the least and I've held the opinion for quite some time, that Willow would have been better off single during the final season of, Buffy. I say this, because I would have enjoyed seeing her dealing with the processing through her grief of losing Tara and working through what she'd done in the aftermath.
It's when Kennedy opens up her mouth and begins to speak, that she makes me want to take up boxing lessons. Srsly. She cannot get more annoying, plus I honestly didn't see very much chemistry between AH and the actress portraying Kennedy. Of course, this is just my opinion.
For me, I've always thought Xander was Willow's first crush, Oz was her first love, and Tara was her first real mature relationship that had the potential to be lifelong. Of course there are strengths and weaknesses when we look at these two, but again there are more things that don't make sense as far as Kennedy/Willow than there ever was or ever will truly will be as far as Tara/Willow go.
