One thing that stuck out was Tim said Joss still has interest in some sort of Spike spinoff. He also said the Spike movie deal fell through when he (Tim) got contracted to do Drive. So does that mean if Drive isn't picked up the Spike movie might be on again? I don't think so, but it would create an interesting choice for Minear fans. Like what would you rather see him do - a complete season of Drive, or the Spike movie?

Kudos to Jackal on that interview. Wish we could get details on why Drive was in the dustbin then suddenly why it (maybe) isn't anymore.

J: What's been your worst online or offline fan incident?

TM: Well, I'd say the worst experience: when I was threatened with castration at Worldcon by someone in a large audience during a Q&A -- he was angry because of the bad messages my work is sending to America.

I wanna see that Drive pilot, if nothing else.

I don't think so, but it would create an interesting choice for Minear fans. Like what you rather see him do - a complete season of Drive, or the Spike movie?

Knowing what I now know I'd rather see a season of Drive. I'd probably have rather have had seen a season of Drive before though - if only because it would be at least 13 hours as oppose to two. But I still want the Buffyverse movies sometime in the future.

And the reason for Drive being canned (before it was semi un-canned) was really trivial. Can't say much more, but I suspect the reason it's back on the slate is all to do with Standoff, Justice and Vanished failing in the ratings. I'm the hub of vague and cryptic information.

Although I'd rather have a Faith series than anything.
