What is the time frame, like months, etc between becoming and dead mans party.... It always seemed odd to me that Buffy's mom was like "I was so use to the quiet while you were gone" and i'm thinking, she wasn't gone THAT long.....in comparison to the fact that shes been living with you everyday for like 17 years. It seems like you would almost be uncomfortable with the silence.

It must be about 3 months or so, as usually the series starts in the autumn at the beginning of the school year. 3 months is quite a long time if your daughter is missing I imagine so it must have felt like longer than it actually was.

We're creatures of habit. 🙂 Three months give or take in complete solitude in a big house... yeah, I think you'd start getting jumpy. Especially after having lived those months on edge, waiting for news or a return...

I can see where you wouldn't be used to someone living in the house again. Agreed, 3-4 months. I think in Season 6 when Buffy is talking about working at the DMP, she says she has waitressing experience from "that summer in L.A."

Well she leaves before the end of the school year and came back just after it started. It seemed like they said somewhere it was approx. 3 months.
