Time travel?

My boyfriend and I are having a dispute about how exactly Tru "goes back in time." Is it acutal time travel or does she just have a vision (or can see forward theough time?)

I would compare it to something like... You have say a video tape. You pull Tru out, rewind the tape, and put her back, intact. She remembers it all. You know what I mean?

See...I never did...then when I read it...it is like I had an epiphony...and everything came together.

Critics are saying it is too 'Groundhog Day' ish...but I really don't see it that way. Yeah, she goes back in time, but she doesn't live the day over and over and over and over and over...

Its not a vision... otherwise it would look more like a 10 second premonition, it is infact time travel i believe

I think it's more of a time loop. WHich would beg the question, if Tru didn't suceed in saving the person, would she keep reliving that day until she did?

As with "Quantum Leap", there is an unseen hand guiding Tru's missions. Call it "God', "fate", or "the writers", Tru is not the one who decides when she has been successful.

It was clear even to Tru that she was meant to save the little girl, Sam, not the firefighter, Nick.

In the end maybe - but Nick was the one who asked for help, so if that's the trigger, it doesn't loop until the person asking for help is saved.

didn't she say in the episode that Nick had actually asked him to help him save the girl? I'm pretty sure she said that in Tru's Final Thought.

Well its kinda like Final Destination Movies, she lives the day and then wakes up with the knowledge of what happened. It is a vision I think.

I understand that in a future episode, Tru *will* fail in her "mission", and relive the day a second (third?) time.
