Can I please remind all the banner makers, official or otherwise, of the actual signature rules as shown below and in our
Code of Conduct
It has come to our attention that some banners that are being made are not in compliance with the rules, and therefore members are being PM'd about the size of their signatures.
This especially applies where animated banners are concerned. The maximum pixel size should be 200 pixels wide x 75 pixels high, and should the animation cause any problems with the board, such as pages loading too slow etc then they will have to be removed.
Please also remember that it is the TOTAL height of signatures that must not be more than 150 pixels high, and 725 pixels wide, that includes all banners that are in the signature.
Obviously the banner size is really dependant on whether you view the boards using the 'Left' style layout, where your av is appears at the left hand side of your posts, or 'Top' style layout where your av appears above your posts. Those members using the left style layout will only see the first 500 pixels of a banner as it will cut the rest off. Those members using the top style layout will see a banner up to the maximum 725 pixel width that we allow.😉 So it might pay to ask a member how they view the board before making a banner for them.😉
